2nd Trimester

Does any of this sound okay to any of you?

My name is Alina and I am 16. June 6th, 2014 I discovered I had missed my period. Today I am 18 weeks and 5 days pregnant with a baby whose gender I will find out about next Thursday with my boyfriend. I understand we're young and I know that things are going to be extremely difficult, but that isn't what I'm writing about here.. Tonight I want to tell you all about my mom's plan to ruin things for me(yet again). So a few nights ago, an aunt of mine miscarried.. and she phoned my mom, in tears.. I haven't been home all week since last Wednesday due to an older brother of mine choking me(almost unconscious) and my mother telling me that my "bitchy attitude" was asking for it..
Anyways, my problem is that tonight I found out that once I have my baby, my mom plans on taking me to court to strip me the custody of my (unborn) baby and sign it over to my aunt, so that she can keep my baby. What can I do about this? What are my options? I turn 17 in January if that helps.. Can someone please help me, I'm not safe here..

  • No way are you 18w5d if you missed your period 6/6. I had my LMP 6/7, and am 18w4d today... so if you missed your period in June, you would be further along than I am (unless you ovulated WAY late, as in, had your period in May, and didn't ovulate until mid June...
  • Talk to your counselor at school, legal aid & your OB. A women's shelter & social services should be able to relocate you to a safe place.

Act now. You & your baby deserve safety. >:D<

  • I'm sorry that you have so much to deal with. Please get in touch with a women's shelter. Your priority needs to be protecting yourself and your child. Press charges against your brother. What you described is assault and you don't deserve that. Your mom sounds abusive to me as well. The sooner you can get yourself to a safe place and get yourself prepared to provide for your child, the better. You don't want to give these people any leg to stand on if they try to strip parental rights. Good luck.

Something else doesn't add up with this poster. 3 weeks ago, on Sept 23rd, she posted that she was 10 weeks pregnant. It may just be some confusion, but this could also be a troll.

I had been wrong at how far along I was at first because I wasn't sure when exactly to start counting the pregnancy. I've had two ultrasounds to verify how far along I am and papers that state when my first missed period was. Accusing my mistake as a troll is a bit rude, but that isn't what this post is about. I'm worried about my child and what I can do to ensure that I raise my child in a safe, healthy environment. Also, I'd like to thank those of you whose responses were actually helpful and had to do with what I was asking.
