Do they actually help relieve back pain and pelvic pressure? For the career i have, im constantly on my feet and getting more frequent back aches. Yay, welcome to pregnancy right? Anywho, is it worth buying one?
I only use it for running or exercising because otherwise it feels like a basketball is bouncing on my uterus. It is pretty good for that but it's uncomfortable to sit in and I couldn't wear it more than an hour at the very very most - too uncomfortable. I've read some convincing arguments against using them. Some say they can decrease circulation which definitely makes sense. I've also read that if you are sore it is likely caused by weak muscles. By using a support you are taking the pressure off your muscles and not using them, so they never get stronger so it doesn't solve a problem at all.
You can pick one up and try it out. Return it if you don't like it. For back aches that are already starting in the 2nd trimester I would see a chiropractor and look into prenatal massage therapy. You may also need better shoes/new shoe insoles or to practice better posture. Just a few ideas!
I used a maternity support belt for one day with my first pregnancy and I couldn't handle it. It was way to restrictive and merely moved the pressure into other areas. After that, I had a friend recommend the Blanqi support top to me. I got 2 and wore them all day for every thing I did the rest of my pregnancy. They've added a few more types of tanks, leggings, and tights, but I think you should go with the original Maternity Underbust High-Performance Belly Support Tank: https://www.blanqi.com/products/maternity-underbust-high-performance-belly-support-tank
