~~TTCAL newbie check in 10/14/14~~

Re: ~~TTCAL newbie check in 10/14/14~~

  • @rslh10‌ I did have a positive OPK a week ago. I discarded one wonky temp and FF gave me crosshairs for last Wed. I think what happened on the weird temp is I didn't have the thermometer positioned right. I remember it slipping all over and me being basically asleep trying to fix it. I'm hoping it's right b/c if it is we had pretty decent timing. I'm trying to wait until next Tuesday to test, but we'll see ;)

I'm just back from my second appointment with the doctor and things were not good. I have read all the intros, but am still not sure what is ok to post and what isn't, but I think it's pretty safe to say here that I am pissed and sad and really fucking mad.

I thought about just waiting to check in, but my husband and I want to keep this between us, so I need a place to talk about it.  I hope it's ok if that is here.
  • Flurison said:@rslh10‌ thanks for the check in. I'm a tad late on it, work is a little crazy. No AF yet but I'm guessing she'll be here any day now because I'm feeling like a super bitch lately. So I really hope it's AF coming so I have an excuse, haha. I know I might have a bit of a wait though, it's only been 30 days since MC. Took some HPTs just for the hell of it, and suprise, I got nothing going on. I'm pretty sure I haven't ovulated but I don't think I'm a pro at OPKs either. If I dont limit my fluids and don't hold my urine before testing will I get a false negative when the tests should indicate a positive? When I got pregnant in August it was my first time using OPKs and I never got a true positive, they just got darker and then got lighter but never as dark as the control line. Blah, blah, blah I could go on forever. Come on AF lets get this next cycle started. I love breakfast sausage and chocolate chip pancakes. I think I just may make some pancakes for dinner. I hope all you ladies are doing well and are in good spirits.
I honestly think that @ldubhawksfan needs paged here. I haven't used OPKS in a very long time, so I don't feel comfortable answering the question on false negatives! But other than that, all I can say is I hope that AF gets her crap together and shows sooner rather than later for you! :)

Welcome to the check-in. I'm so sorry for your loss. The feelings you're having are completely normal, albeit sucky. You're more than welcome to come and talk about your loss--that's what were all here for :) So many ((hugs)) Did you post an intro on the main board? If not, I encourage you to do so. The ladies here are amazing and have helped me through very dark times.

ok I know I am a weird0 for obsessing over this. But I think my favorite breakfast food is cinnamon rolls. If I could eat them all day without it being bad for my health I would.
Bring on all the fried potatoes for me. I would eat them for every meal...I get it ;)

  • Hello fellow newbies and newbie supporters. I hope I can join this check-in.

Happy news: got the call today that my hcg levels are below 2. Yay for no more blood draws to monitor it. Happy news 2: get to change my insurance plan this week that will go into effect with the new year. My current plan was no good for many appointments/labs...

Newbie question: I am confused with the check-ins. Do I pick one and post on that weekly? I feel like I belong in newbie, TTA, and Ladies in Waiting- I am new to posting on this board and need to wait three cycles before trying again (not to mention now waiting for first AF to show up).

    QOTW: pancakes with strawberries. YUM!

Thank you @LDubHawksFan‌ and @rslh10‌. I used wondfo OPKs for 2 weeks straight shortly after my MC. I stopped because they never looked like they were getting darker and the last two days I used them were the faintest ones. Before MC I tested 2x a day as well when they started getting darker. There was no blaring positive but I was able to identify the surge. For this cycle I made the assumption that I ovulated really early (before I started OPK testing) or didn't ovulate at all, and that maybe fainting tests meant that AF is coming. But as I said OPKs are still fairly new to me so I thought I'd ask about false negatives. Once my body gets its rhythm back I think I will be able to identify the next surge. Based on what you shared @LDubHawksFan‌ I don't think I saw any false negatives or close positives, likely there was just no surge during those two weeks. Thank you for the information :)

  • @crimpgirl Do you mean that you are still being monitored to see if levels are down after mc? If they are not done, I don't think you can expect AF yet. I may be wrong, so if others know, correct please. Also, I think you would be getting the positive if you still have levels. The wait to get that out of your system sucks. I hope you get some answers soon!

  • @McSarah1104 - Ugh....I don't like seeing more people from June 15 joining us. I am so sorry for your loss. I have been going through the crazy range of emotions too. DH and I are planning a small vacation at the end of the month to get away and relax (and not be home during Halloween).
