Seems like a lot of you are having a productive Sunday. We got out the PNP, activity mat, and bouncy seats out of storage. DS became very sad and cried because he thought they were his and I was explaining they were going to be for the baby.
@FhSTAR81helping set up is a great idea. I got out a video of him on the play mat as a very little baby and for some reason that helped. Now he's ready to "help the baby" play on it. It just reminded me that this is going to be a tough transition for him and we are just going to have to help him and give him special attention and love
I feel like I'm on my millionth load of laundry. Trying to get things caught up before LO gets here but the kids keep using towels and wearing clothes!
Made the mistake of telling DH that I had a few contractions yesterday morning. Literally 3 contractions over 90 minutes, and the last one was at 3am yesterday. Now he's even more paranoid that I'm going to give birth any minute. The fact that I get worn out so easily since LO dropped is just making it worse.
On the bright side, he went grocery shopping for me. I'm half dreading, half curious to see what he actually comes back with.

I was also off being somewhat productive. I've done a million loads of laundry (5), groceries, cleaning and a bit of organizing in Will's room. Then I started watching the newer version of Great Expectations (anyone seen it?) and knit. I may have also snuck in a nap.
@FhSTAR81 I was off being productive had some of our maternity pictures developed, went to target bought some frames, and now they are hung in the nursery . Then I made myself creeps for breakfast.
I am so jealous of your productivity AND crepes! I may have slept til noon.....my excuse is that I finally got comfortable around 7 and really needed the sleep. Now hanging out on the couch watching football, no excuse for that
I attribute the productivity to delirium. I've been up since 2am. I'm sure when I finally crash, I'll crash hard.
I have been having severe siatica pain all weekend. Worried how I'm going get around school with my kiddos this week... Tried heat, Tylenol, rest, stretching, massage, nothing is helping!
Hey ladies!! Such a long day today. I went to bed early last night after feeling sick and didn't get much sleep. I feel a lot better today, though. Thank you to everyone who gave me advice last night!! I so appreciate it.
DH and I spent most of the day cleaning. Now, I'm enjoying a nice Epsom Salt bath and catching up on the bump!!
@AnnieRoo13...I'm so in for some butternut squash soup . YUM!!
Ugh.. So of course days after I get my flu shot I see this gem of an article posted on Facebook(I know it's not exactly the best source for reliable information) & naturally now it's messing with my head and letting in all the "what it's" ... Someone talk me off the ledge!
So much productivity... and here I am taking 3 hour naps. Move went well, we are mostly unpacked... I've spent most the weekend bossing people around from a seated position. Which is really irritating for me because I feel useless but everyone has been understanding and helpful. Bedrest is SO not fun.
Maybe I will make crepes later as a thank you because those look delicious.
I'm impressed you're already mostly unpacked -- even if it was done by bossing others around a 3 hour nap sounds amazing!
@aragosta well.... Should have done that first! Thank You! I made the mistake of reading the comments following the article & buying into their BS but you're right -- they're awful!
Bought myself a little electric beard/mustache trimmer and shaved my 70's bush. First time in a LONG time I have attempted to groom down there. It feels so much better! No cuts, no bald spots, no itchiness.....it's just fuzzy now instead of hairy.....haha.

Baby has been moving a lot today...like all day. This is the most movement I have felt yet. It's like he hasn't slept all day. :-?
My LO was like that a couple days ago. They were jarring movements too - I thought she was going to come out my belly button at one point. Then the next day she was pooped and did the bare minimum.
@kyliedaniellexx that's awesome that you're almost unpacked! Pretty sure I just unpacked the last of our boxes and we moved into this house February 2010. And I only did it because of LO's imminent arrival. Glad you took it easy and made everyone else do the work
@AnnieRoo13 I think I'm ready to move in with you guys! I doubt anyone could leave after trying all those amazing dishes you make.
@manders9479 I hope you can find something that helps!
@kyliedaniellexx So glad the move is done! And good job sticking to the doctors orders. I know how hard it can be to sit back and let others do the hard work.
Hugs for all my other N14 mamas!
And one last AW for the day, DH came to cheer me on and afterwards we had a great picture taken of us and the two pups. (All this typed from our couch or bed as my hips are now killing me. Can I blame it on the dog pulling? Chiro tomorrow for this mama).
@CarrieAnne09 These babies are crazy! Lol....glad to hear someone else's baby went crazy like this. I was starting to think something was going on....haha! Anything out of the ordinary now gets my mind racing!

@Carebella that's a great pic of the five of you! You're amazing for running at this stage of pregnancy, I'm impressed. Also, would it be creepy for me to tell you your DH is very handsome? What a great looking couple!
@minibean16 It is a cinnamon roll! I felt guilty for half a second taking one of the last two donuts, then reminded myself I'm pregnant and just ran a 5k. Guilt gone! ;-)
@AnnieRoo13 Thanks! And I vote not creepy We rarely have pictures taken so I'm always thrilled when we get a good one!!!
Somedays I surprise myself that I still keep going. Thankfully DH and 99% of people have been super supportive. All my N14 mamas have definitely helped too! My three big goals during pregnancy were to keep running, start yoga and just gain the recommended weight. Skipped the yoga but otherwise I'm doing pretty well
As of this weekend, our home is technically ready for this LO to come. I still have 6 weeks to go, but have always felt like she'd be early ? I know that's ridiculous. Anyone else just had a feeling? The amount of babies being announced on this board isn't helping my suspicions..
Also how do you all know how to make crepes?! I must have missed that class.

They're SOOOOOOO EASY!! This is the recipe I always use (I just don't add the cocoa and add 1tsp of vanilla instead)--
they're as healthy as Crepes are gona get! I just made a double batch thanks to the craving/peer pressure/inspiration brought on by @Kllopez1221 -- yes 24 Crepes for 2 people (well 3 counting Jacob) .. Don't judge.
@MrsC430 I attached a pic of my recipe. It's called "winter squash soup" but I used only butternut squash this time because it was a big one. If the pic isn't great it's a recipe from Epicurious- I can't link it because I'm on mobile.
I am being completely irrational and mildly freaking out about a potential case of Ebola VERY close to where I live. Ordinarily I can be very level-headed about these things but I'm terrified that if this guy tests positive it's going to come to light that he was using public transportation (aka how I get to work every day). Maybe this is a belated FFFC, but I think it's time for more stringent travel restrictions.
I'm so impressed with the productivity level of this board! I feel impressed, and slightly inadequate, lol. We had a great weekend, though. My mom is in town for a few days, and she lives across the country so we don't see her super often. I'm sooooo tired, but since she's so helpful with DS, I felt up for getting out and doing fun stuff. We had lots of neighborhood activities going on, and we spent today at a pumpkin patch. Then tonight we made freezer meals - 4 trays of enchiladas and 3 of stuffed shells! I'm still pretty far from feeling ready, but it's nice to have a little more done, and it was great to get in some neighborhood socializing before the apocalypse of baby #2.

Had a meltdown today. The car seat we bought is too big for our ford focus. DH is totally nonchalant about it. Like, oh well and just shrugs his shoulders. I'm telling him this kid could come any time and we need a seat that fits! I'm 35 weeks today. Does he think babies come at their exact EDD??? Gah! So annoyed at the whole situation.
I made crepes for breakfast yesterday, they were yummy! I chopped up an apple and cooked it on the stove with cinnamon and sugar for a few minutes for the filling. I'm going to have to do this like every weekend for the rest of fall. Crepes have eggs, and eggs are especially good for pregnant women, so I'm dubbing crepes as the official pregnancy food, right?
Does anyone else feel like they are running this whole "we're going to have a baby" show alone? I had a breakdown today and basically yelled at DH because all he ever does is sit on his iPad/computer/phone all the time. Yesterday he started cleaning... The garage. Wtf?? The baby isn't hanging out in there the last I heard. So I lost it today. He said "what needs done?"
For real. There are dirty dishes, sinks, toilets, and tubs, laundry piled up, clutter all over the kitchen table and living room and boxes of crap in the hallway. Why do I have to tell a grown man wth needs to be done to clean a house? He is so overwhelmed he is paralyzed, which sucks, but for real baby could be here any day.
Two rooms did get cleaned this weekend, but guess who did it.
Gahhhh right here with you girl!!! DH was in the garage working on our co-sleeper(an IKEA hack from the Sniglair crib) --- I go in there to see what he's up to and he's re-wiring the garage cuz "he was waiting on the glue to dry" & figured adding in an extra outlet close to his work bench would be useful --- so what started out as adding in one outlet has led him up into the attic RE-wiring 2 other outlets (the one used for the washer/dryer in the garage and the one behind the fridge) why bother with those two since they work perfectly you ask? Same thing I asked... Still no valid reason for it. Meanwhile I tackled the house and the things that actualy get seen and need to be cleaned myself...
In-laws are here and MIL asked my husband what hospital we're delivering at. He told her and she said "Okay, because we need to know where to go, because as soon as we get the call we'll be there." "We" refers to MIL and her 94-year old mother, who drives hubby and me mad.
Umm...we aren't having anyone there. Hubby is going to have to manage this. Or maybe we just won't call until the baby is born and we're all settled back at home ready for visitors.
Dont you know because of all the ebola scares the hospitals are limiting visitors??? good luck!
