Sorry working moms! I'm on vacation today and spaced this! Better late than never, I hope?? Also, horrible formatting because the bump hates my nook. Can someone fix it for me? 1. Successes/celebrations. 2. Challenges. 3. Me time/family time this week?. 4. Weekend plans?

1. This was one if the busiest work weeks I've had in a long time and dd birthday and I got it all handled, barely. Also, we are experiencing some success with our sleep training method.

2. So many. Work is really overwhelming in right now. My very best employee accepted a transfer to another department and another employee applied for her now vacant position. We didn't select her and she was really upset. She burst into tears when my boss and I told her and completed bitched us out. I knew she would be hurt but I was really surprised at the reaction. I felt awful but she wasn't the best candidate. Sad sitch. Also, my supply is dipping and H keeps wasting and spilling milk. So infuriating!

3. We celebrated dd birthday on weds and that was super fun even if it was a little stressful. She got a bike and loved it!! Tomorrow we have soccer and a kid party to go to so it will be busy.

4 see above and my bday is tomorrow! I'm not really doing anything because the day is already packed but I'm hoping to make it to yoga. And next weekend I'm getting a massage!

1.  We started a new daycare on Monday.  It's literally less than a mile from my office, which is really nice.  Also, I managed to work out every day!

2.  So, I realized that maybe I'd built up the new daycare a little too much in my mind as being the ultimate baby utopia.  It's nicer than our older place (and definitely cleaner) but there have already been a few things I had to mention to the teacher/director.  It's actually very challenging for me to speak up sometimes, so that was sort of difficult.

3.  The workouts have been good "me" time.  We don't really have a ton of family time during the week because LO and I don't get home until like 7.  We did take a family walk on Monday and that was nice.

4.  I think we're also hitting up a pumpkin patch with our friends who have a baby the same age.  Tomorrow, I'm going for a walk with a friend who has a 3 month old.

1. Successes/celebrations.
Things are looking up at work. I'm making progress toward my promotion for next year and looking for my replacement. I cannot wait to move on to a new challenge!


2. Challenges.
I still suck at the evening hussle. I researched meal planning on Pintrest and started the week off strong... Last night we had grilled cheese for dinner. In a few years I would love to hire someone to get the kids home and make dinner for us Mon-Fri.


3. Me time/family time this week?
I took Monday and Tuesday off and it was glorious! I spent some QT with LO, cleaned up my house and went to a Zumba class.

4. Weekend plans?
The kids and I are leaving momentarily to go see my parents for the weekend in Jersey. DH is staying behind to close our pool and go to the Jets game tomorrow.

1. Successes/celebrations:
LO's really really crawling - like up off his belly onto all fours and cruising!  My director gave me a Thank You! card with a gc for $10 - which I have mixed feelings on...  The reason she gave it to me was that I converted our existing department intranet site into the new template.  Yes it was a bit time consuming, but they keep congratulating me on the look and feel - which I had no contributions into...

2. Challenges:
Sleep.  G's over his cold, but mine's still lingering - so his momentary wakeups at night are taking their toll...
I second diaper changes - they suck right now.
Trying to be amorous with H....I still really dislike my pp body and it's definitely impacting my ability to feel attractive...

3. Me time/family time:
DSD came home from her week-long field trip, so it was great to get to spend time with her again! 

4. Weekend plans:
We had an easy day Saturday, but Sunday was full!  Our friend's baby's baptism, followed by party at their house, then dinner and hanging with the ILs.  I should mention it's a 2hr drive from our place to the ILs, an hour from ILs to friends - so 6 hrs in the car yesterday...
