77 Days till Christmas!

I am so excited to have my cuddly little boy around for the holidays. Last time I was 7 months pregnant during the holidays.

1. What are you most looking forward to during the holiday season?
2. What gift will you get your LO? Extra points for pictures.

1. I am looking forward to hiding all my baby fat in cozy hoodies and cuddling my baby until I go back to work in January : (

2. I have no idea what to get a 3 month old for Christmas. Maybe a little soft football rattle thing. My DD is so spoiled and has everything already. I think I'm going to have DH make her a little closet to put her dress up clothes in.

Ugh, I can't even begin to think about Christmas yet!!! We will probably get LO a few small things that are needed at the time. That is super cute for your DD. We need to do something along those lines too, because she has about about 10 dress up dresses and they are taking over her closet!!

  • 1. I am looking forward to being off work for the holidays and being able to cuddle my baby and go do fun christmas activities with my 4 year old. Looking at lights, going to Bronners, making Christmas cookies. Also looking forward to wearing pre-pregnancy winter clothes ;)

    2. I plan to get LO a play mat and a couple plush toys for their stocking. For DS- he wants Zerg from Toy Story. He has Woody and Buzz and now he wants Zerg. No pictures because I am mobile (:|

  • 1. I love everything about Christmas, so I'm not sure I can pick out one thing!  I make an awesome coffee cake on Thanksgiving and Christmas mornings.  It's the only time I make it.  We open presents, have the coffee cake and DH and I split a bottle of prosecco while still in PJ's.  So I think all of that - presents with kids, food, drink in the a.m. are my favorites.

    2. We won't get much for the baby.  I'll let my kids pick out something small, but she won't know the difference.  Might sound callous, but this is #3 and I'm really hoping to minimize the amount of "stuff".

@MendozaAJ - very adorable.  When my daughter was around the age of your DD (or maybe it was one year older), we got her a little vanity and closet set.  I scoured ebay and everything to get her some Disney princess dresses to go in it.  I'll never forget her sitting at that vanity in front of the mirror in her Snow White dress.  So cute!!

  • We're going to DISNEYLAND!!!! We won't get LO much of anything, but DD and DS will put together a stocking for him.

I'm looking forward to all things Christmas; winter sangria recipe I've been wanting to try, decorating, baking, Christmas movies, family, we'll be going to a cirque Christmas show, there's a Christmas train we'll go ride....love love love the holidays!
  • I'll be excited to dress my little guy up for the holidays and take pics! I don't see myself buying him many Christmas gifts... Maybe an exercauser or something he'd use as he gets a little bigger. I def agree about hiding under comfy clothes and sweaters! Yay!
  • Most looking forward to DS1's Christmas morning experience. Now that he's 3, he'll really "get it". Looking forward to the magic of it all!

Getting the boys matching pjs and they'll each get an ornament (everyone gets a unique ornament from Santa each Christmas). Santa will bring baby brother a couple small toys, but not too much since the grabdparents will likely go nuts.

  • 1. Alcohol.

    2. I'm almost sure she'll get showered with gifts by everyone else, so I'll probably crochet or knit her something so I can guarantee there are no duplicates.

  • I LOVE the holidays. Fall through Christmas is my favorite time of year. Just looking forward to having a little one to snuggle up with this year.

I have no idea what gifts I'll get but most likely it won't be much. Probably just anything leftover on the registry we didn't get or didn't necessarily need right away.

  • I love Christmas! I can't wait for baby snuggles in front of the Christmas tree!

As far as a gift for LO, I will most likely just buy her a Christmas ornament and open up a 529 college savings plan. I am sure everyone else will spoil her rotten so I don't feel the need to go over board!

  • I love the holidays. Plus this year is an added bonus since I'll be off for Halloween, thanksgiving, Christmas, AND New Years thanks to the LO. :) I'm looking forward to EVERYTHING holiday this year.. Movies, beginning our own family traditions, decorating, baking, seeing all the lights & everything in between.. Knowing there will be 3 of us this year brings the biggest smile to my face!

the little guy is going to receive little gifts from us.. I know the grandparents will go crazy.. Definitely a first Xmas ornament from us.. I just ordered family stockings today with our names on them from etsy!
  • I am excited for Christmas this year because a couple months ago my 2 1/2 year old took an interest to toy trucks. Before that, he had no interest in toys. So excited to buy him lots of trucks this year.

I tend not to look forward to holidays as DS does not like change in routine, or lots of people. Most holidays are not fun for him but I am hoping that he actually shows an interest in opening a present this year!!

Not sure what I will do for the baby yet :) probably buy somethings he will use when he's a little older

  • We won't be getting very much for the baby. We are team green and if we end up having a boy we will get mostly clothes. Other than that I bought a book and this two small toys. Both kids will get Christmas pjs and an ornament.

  • I'm just looking forward to baby's first Christmas :) I can't wait to cuddle LO by the tree and take lots and lots of pictures. Also dressing her up and showing her off to family and friends.

I don't think we'll get her much in the way of gifts, though I know she will be spoiled by her grandparents. We'll get her an ornament and maybe a learning toy or two since she only has stuffed animals so far.
