Important question. If you don't like cobbler, do you like pie? Because is cobbler not just a mashed up, confused, post-modern pie?
I have a weird thing with baked fruit, so really I eat chocolate pie and blueberry pie. Its a thing with me.

I dislike everything about zombies. Movies, TV shows, those zombie walks that are increasingly popular. Enough already.

It took me forever to type mine out. You beat me. I agree, enough is enough!

  • Cobbler is gross. Batman is better than the avengers. Give me Christian bale or batman Val Kilmer. ( sorry present day Val Kilmer, you are not batman material).

This is a long list but I agree with all of them.

@Joy2611‌ Haha next time I will specify.

    @Cythe‌ whoot!

@LDW176‌ I suppose they are, I do like pie. Maybe it is hot vs. cold? I am not a fan of hot pie unless it is covered in ice cream. :) And I think the main one I hate is blueberry cobbler, I Love raw blueberries, but hot smushy
blueberry cobbler just tastes off to me.

    1) googling "jiggles gif" at work seems like a bad choice

    Oh god, you said Ebola.

My Facebook feed is a clusterfuck of stupid these days.
You and me both.  And that's the thing....  Flu (and related complications) is a leading cause of death in the US.  It's *way* more contagious than ebola.  But people are way more stressed about ebola and ignore the flu vaccine, which can help avoid the flu or minimize the seriousness.  It's not guaranteed to work, but it's way better than the alternative.

Science, people.  It's not THAT hard.

Ebola and influenza have similar symptoms.  If one should get the influenza shot, then the likelihood of those symptoms being from influenza are greatly reduced.

Well.... According to this, I've been making and eating apple crumbles instead of apple crisps the last month or so. I put oats in the topping so I can justify it as being somewhat healthy. I just ate some for breakfast and it was delicious!

  • I dislike pie and anything similar. Give me cake and ice cream any day over pie. This is a huge disappointment to DH's family, who all love pie. They make me rice crispy treats at holidays, so I'm not dessert-less.

Also, since we're on superheroes today, I really could do without The Avengers. Give me Spider-Man or Batman.

Me too. But I blend the oats so that they have a more floury consistency so it doesn't look healthy.

  • @LokiTTGP, I know, I know. Everyone says it's the best. But I just... I love Tom Hiddleston! Does that make up for it? I just didn't love Avengers. I saw it once, and that was enough for me. I love your siggy gif, I could watch it all day!

  • At risk of jinxing, this is one of the more pleasant and less combative UO threads we've had in awhile. I think President Bartlett yelling at everyone right off the bat set the standard for accountability.

Anyways, back to Loki and cobbler.

Also, because it's quiet, if you don't get a flu shot and you don't have a medical reason to abstain, you're an idiot.

If you don't get a flu shot but you're stressed about ebola, you're an idiot who doesn't understand statistics.

Wow, that was way harsh. I'm not getting a flu shot because I don't want to. That does not make me an idiot. Assumptions like that does qualify one for idiot status.

It may not make you an idiot, but not getting the flu shot just because you don't want to is highly irresponsible and could put members of the population at risk by your choice.

Anyone considered "high risk" should get their own flu shot and if they do, then someone else who hasn't had the shot and gets a type of flu that was covered in the vaccine are then much less likely to pass it on to those people.
It's more irresponsible for someone who's high risk to not get it than it is for someone who has a good immune system to not get it.

If you are TTC you fall into that category as one who may become pregnant.

THIS! If my husband comes into contact with someone with the flu he can die. I don't have a choice.

However, as a student currently learning about human development, the flu and any virus is considered a teratogen. Any teratogen can cause permanent damage to a developing embryo or fetus during the most critical time. It's irresponsible if you are TTC to not get a flu shot.

Watch it again. You are wrong.
