Hi there,
I am hoping you ladies can provide me some suggestions on girls names. I think we are pretty stuck at this point. I have a 2-year-old DS named Caleb. We have some "rules" for our girls names. We have a fairly strict 2 syllable limit (for several reasons). It can't be uber popular. I almost always prefer something that ends with an "a". They just sound more feminine to me, and I like that. Here are some from our current list:
Ada (DH likes it, but prefers Ava, which I can't do because it's too popular)
Cora
Lila
Amelia (like, but too many syllables)
Nora
Any thoughts or suggestions that seem to fit our style, but we haven't thought of yet?? Thanks in advance!
Re: Girl name suggestions
Ida. Emma. Vanessa. Lisa. Aisha. Alicia. Stella. Luna. Priscilla. Alyssa.
FWIW, Ada is my favorite from our current list. It is in the 400s somewhere on the popularity list. Ava is in the top 10 (which is why I am against it). I am really just trying to stay out of the top 10 or 20. Thanks!
You just reminded me, we LOVE Mila, but there is already a Mila in our family. Really she is one of my childrens only girl cousins. Needless to say, it is taken, unfortunately. DH likes Mia or Mya, but I am not sold on those.
I also like Talia, but our last name starts with a T, and I am not a fan of aliteration at all.
