vent: websites that don't work

I'm trying to set up my annual donation to my company's United Way campaign.  The website is broken.  The links don't work.  Waste of time!  Maybe I'll just cut a check to the local shelter and call it done for the year (but then we'd lose the match!).

This weekend a credit card company called my because my payment was late.  I am SO grateful that they called and they even waived my late fee.  I was in my car so I told them I'd pay online as soon as I got home.  Then I couldn't find their website to make the payment.  It wasn't on the back of my card and I couldn't find the statement (hence the late payment).

Why is it that some merchants (amazon comes to mind) are capable on making their online user experience so EASY and others just suck?!
