I'm just over 18 weeks, my bump is large in the morning mainly, tonight it's not, is there anyone else not showing? I'm not the thinnest girl ever and just so worried all the time
Here's my 22 week bump. And everything is on track and good. Everyone carries differently and it can def vary by time of day. Sometimes mine sticks out really far. Some people have big ones some might be hardly showing.
If I flex my abs I can make mine almost totally go away. If I've eaten recently & let my abs relax, I can barely see my toes. Size varies greatly from person to person, pregnancy to pregnancy, and even time of day -- unless your docs are concerned there is no reason to worry.
If you feel like worrying anyway -- lay down, and press in just below your belly button until you feel the firm top of your uterus. At 18 weeks it should be about 2 cm below the belly button. If you're not sure what you're feeling, then don't worry. But if you can clearly feel your uterus, I'm sure you'll find that it's right where it needs to be.
Please don't concern yourself with something so trivial. Each woman is different as is each pregnancy. Each quickening is special and unique and you will both show the fruit of your womb and feel your child when the time is right.

Dooooood...I did this in your intro post but feel it is needed here too:

Freckles this chick CANT be for real. There's no way. In some other thread she just told the mom to relax and meditate. However, I'm still interested to see where this goes.
Thank you Freckles for mentioning the quote button. I am still learning the dynamics of this place. I assure you all I am very real. Meditation is an oft overlooked method for relaxation, I do not see why mentioning it is strange.
.....back to the question at hand, Im 18w1d but baby is measuring almost 20 weeks (EDD change coming next appt) and I still have no sign of baby. People compliment my food baby all the time. Haha I let them have it and enjoy being my bloated self. Dont worry too much about the lack of bump, I hear these are the few weeks we are lucky ro have no back pain!

You are such a bad troll. In that you suck at it. Ironic you created your AE around same time the board started agreeing to ignore you. You suck. I shall now enjoy putting you and your patchouli-stink on ignore again.
I am very confused, is this aimed at me? I think you are talking to the wrong person. Also, I loathe patchouli.

What are they basing the EDD change off of? Just your measurement? Did you get a dating u/s to confirm dates in the beginning? That is way more accurate than measuring later in pregnancy. I was all over the place with my son, all the way up to measuring 2 weeks ahead. But by the end I started balancing back out. I personally would not be OK with them adjust my EDD by 2 weeks based on a measurement alone!

I’ve been up linked and downloaded, I’ve been inputted and outsourced, I know the upside of downsizing, I know the downside of upgrading. I’m a high-tech low-life. A cutting edge, state-of-the-art bi-coastal multi-tasker and I can give you a gigabyte in a nanosecond! I’m new wave, but I’m old school and my inner child is outward bound. I’m a hot-wired, heat seeking, warm-hearted cool customer, voice activated and bio-degradable. I interface with my database, my database is in cyberspace, so I’m interactive, I’m hyperactive and from time to time I’m radioactive.

My OB is going off of the original u/s because the earlier u/s are most reliable. The last two ultrasound I've gone into the baby is ahead of the expected measurement by almost a week. So if the baby is bigger at the a/s my ob wants to change it a *week* max. Im cool with the origonal due date so if im late i can avoid interventions if possible. I also trust my ob because she is opposed to changing the due date but let me know its possible if the baby measures enough ahead.
Good lord I would never let my ob change the due date an entire two weeks!

I have to strongly agree here. You do not want your doctor thinking you are 40 weeks when you're really 38. A lot of doctors start pushing induction around 40-42 weeks and you could potentially cut out 2 crucial weeks for brain and lung development for your baby. 39 weeks is now considered full term instead of 37 weeks
Before 12 weeks, dating ultrasounds have a margin of error of +/-3 days and that changes to +/-10 days at 15 weeks to 20 and there isn't a reported margin of error after 20 weeks.
No no, trust me im totally agreeing with you. I was just putting it out there so the OP understood that even if the baby is measuring ahead it doesnt make too much of a difference if you're showing yet or not.
And ill repeat I would not stay with a OB who changes due dates by an entire two weeks.
@jessuhmarie I love that little flier. I may need to see that again later on in pregnancy if this baby decides to go past the due date. My first LO was 1 week and a half late and all I wanted to do was get him out at that point. It helps to be reminded how much they really are growing in our bellies every week. Even though it sucks to get to your due date without a baby.

In the off chance of you being your own person please do not call someone else's concerns trivial. You have no idea what they may have been through it what lead them to those fears.
Married the love of my life June 18, 2011 -- Me (28) DH (29)
U don't mean u think that she is MY ae....?! Because I can assure you, NO. This is my one and only bump account.
Why not spell out the word you?
Honestly at this point, I'm (and it looks like most of the board) is ignoring her banal posting via the 'ignore' feature. She can't post inflammatory shit without getting her ass banned, so eventually she'll get bored and bother another board to reassure herself that she is special via bothering other humans until they acknowledge her existence.
I'm 16 weeks and 3 days and I feel like sometimes I see my bump in the morning then the rest of the day I just look chubby. I feel your frustration, I want a cute little baby bump but I think in time it'll come and hopefully stay all day! Lol
My bump is huge. I'm at 15 weeks today although this is my second pregnancy and I am carrying twins. One of my coworkers is 26 weeks and her bump is very small compared to me. Another coworker is due at the end of this month and she's not much bigger than me. Don't worry. Everything will be fine (:

Not worth it, don't bother. Yawns all around.
