Video monitor trouble

Has anyone with a video monitor had issues with the picture becoming very grainy overtime. We've been using ours for 2.5 years now and during the day it's fine, but the nighttime view has become so grainy we really can't make anythin out on the monitor. Anyone else notice this peoblem? We have a Summer brand monitor. Really don't want to buy a new one

    Mine is almost 4 yrs old and other than the battery not lasting as long its fine. I also have the summer brand. Im just praying it last another year. My kids and I are really rough on it.

    My summer monitor was horrible and completely unusable after 11 1/2 months.  Of course when I called 3 weeks later it had passed the 1 year mark and they could do jack squat for me.

    We have a motorola now and it seems ok, but the picture is definitely not amazing.
