My first random of the day...

I had 2 highlights this morning...Hot Chocolate from McDonalds had a Monopoly piece for a free Breakfast sandwich!! And, DD hugged me goodbye this morning and hugged her sisters (my bump) too...I love!

What a great way to start your Thursday, @PeaceofKia‌ ! I meant to check in after my appt Tuesday, but work has been nuts. The hives I've had isn't puppp (!), but they don't really know what it is. They referred me to a dermatologist, so we'll see. Good news is, most areas have chilled out-- there's only one new itchy spot. Maybe it's just an allergy! We'll see.

Woke up with a pregnancy hangover. That's what I'm calling this awful tired feeling I have when I get "plenty" of sleep but still feel like a zombie...

My cat is pulling out her fur and her skin looks irritated in some spots. I already took her to the vet 2 weeks ago and they gave her a antibiotic shot and a steroid shot. It got better, but now the hair pulling is getting worse again. I already changed her food to a new game (rabbit based) and grain free . Don't know what else to do for her and I am sick of cleaning up her clumps of cat fur in my house. .

OMG @PeaceofKia - now I need hot chocolate. What a great idea!!!!!!! Lately coffee has been giving me horrendous heartburn and nausea, so maybe if I migrate to hot chocolate I can still have my warm peppy drink in the morning.

Only one more work day! This week I've been getting up at 5:30 so I can work a little extra in the mornings. Tomorrow is my last early morning.... hurray!

However, I've decided to work a couple hours every weekend to start giving myself more flexibility in case I get sick or to adjust for all the doctors appointments coming up. I'm sure the rest of you are about the same as me- we start having appointments every 2 weeks in Nov. Operation Don't Use Sick Leave is in full effect for me, I really want to hoard every hour of sick time for maternity leave.

Second Spam! Are you ladies buying Maternity Coats for the cooler weather? Target has coats out, but no Maternity. I don't want to spend more then 50 on one. I usually wear peacoats, but mine are all size small and I don't think they will work for when I get bigger.

I am starting to have an anxiety attack about getting DS first haircut this weekend, I know, I know, I am not one to get weird about these things but for some reason I am really getting sad about him losing his long curls. 

DH has been on me to have his hair cut for weeks now, and we have a special family day planned where we all can go and take pictures and such of this "first" milestone.

but I just start getting second thoughts and feeling anxious about it when I run my hands through his baby curls.

Good morning ladies!

@PeaceofKia‌ I remember when I was a kid and they did the first monopoly game and they sent out the board and some pieces in the news paper... A group of us kids went door to door and asked if we could have people's pieces since we didn't really get to eat there often it really is fun!

I realize today that it was crazy to see on Tuesday that I was 20 weeks done and 20 to go... But it's SO much crazier to see that now there is more time behind me than ahead.... I haven't bought anything... We are house hunting so the idea of finding, closing and moving before being able to do a baby room is just mind boggling... Especially since we've seen everything on the market that fits our price range and everyone keeps saying our house isn't on the market yet...

Oh... And I need someone to kick my ass about slacking on my H2O. I was SO good in the beginning and have always kept a bottle on me at all times... Lately I've been bad.

Posted this in another post but I'm just so happy & still on cloud nine. Had a great a/s yesterday and found out we are having a baby girl!!!   I went straight to the store and bought some adorable outfits, this could get bad!$!$! haha
Also..used my Snoogle for the first time last night = HEAVEN had the best nights sleep

@nomnomasaur0426‌ We did just move to a new house, but this started over a month ago in the other house. She seems to have adjusted well to the new house. She eats normal, uses the box, and even climbs the new stairs which she never had to do before to come to our room to cuddle with us. I think this started after I put on advantage to treat her for fleas, but that should be out of her system now since it was over a month ago. They also did a flea check at the vet and she was clear of them.

I actually got a non-maternity coat from TJ Maxx a few years ago. It was a winter poncho and super cute, like the one pictured below. It gave me lots of room to grow but could still be worn post-pregnancy.

Dinner with the extended in-laws last night was lovely.  And I got to learn a bit about dinghy racing, so I now have more things I can tell people when giving the occasional tour here.

Yesterday I also rearranged the furniture in Surprise's room to try and fit the little shelf thing in there and  it not only worked, but created a bit of floor space.  Now, I just need to get little cubby/drawer things and it will work as a dresser and pick up the last bit of hardware I want for diapers (sterilite shelf thing to put them in, thing to use as a pail, changing pad) and I'm down to just needing to launder everything and organize it.  Yay!

And the weather may have cleared enough for me to get a quick beach session in after the gym tonight, but I'll be keeping an eye on that.

Despite waking up to pee a trillion times, I think I actually slept very well last night. My son just started to wake up a minute ago, and the first thing he did was scream "NO". I guess he wasn't ready to be up yet

I have major baby shower drama that has led me to cry at The Today Show and Susan Boyle this morning.  I'm so over it.  I wasn't involved besides picking a date and sending a guest list, but now I'm way too involved.  I don't wanna be.

Lily is acting up in school. I'm not sure what to do to discipline her either. She's been a little aggressive because of her medicine and she's been on it for a little over 2 years. But now she's slapping and scratching people. I feel bad for the teachers. She knows better than to hit me or DH. The teachers think she can sense baby bro is coming and is acting out.

Any moms of toddlers, what kinds of things do you do to discourage bad behavior?

I'm so tired. I feel like I'm a zombie. I spent a majority of the night at the hospital with my sister and nephew. Nephew got his tonsils and adenoids removed and had tubes put in. He is only 2 so it was rough. Here's to hoping today goes by quick!

That's what it sounds like to me--she's projecting her fears and self-doubt onto other children. I looked on Dr. Sears' site, and there was some good info on how to prepare an older sibling for the new arrival: https://www.askdrsears.com/topics/parenting/discipline-behavior/bothersome-behaviors/sibling-rivalry/introducing-new-baby-11. I'll bet there's helpful info on how to deal with Lily's behavior, too. There's a whole section on discipline and behavior. Hope this helps!

I used to be very diligent about getting it done, but I had to stop due to our budget. I'll bet DH won't mind me spending the $ on this, though, especially since it's been forever. And during pregnancy, my body hair grows back super slowly, so it would last a long time. I just might try out this new place called The Pretty Kitty.

I'm sorry Hon! Can you tell the people involved that your being involved in it is causing you too much stress and you need to step back for the babies sake?

And I am sooo jealous you have a Pretty Kitty!! I'm from San Diego where they started (then Vegas and now a few other places). They are THE best! It hardly hurts and it's like in and out in 15-20 mins max. And their prices aren't insane either. There really is something to their "patented wax."

Good morning! I've got nothing today. Apparently my body has decided that I should get up every morning at 2 AM for a couple hours for whatever reason. Weird. I miss the days of great sleep. Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning ladies! I'm going to see Gone Girl tonight, so excited! DH was like "it doesn't come out until Friday" and I had to burst his bubble that movies come out on Thursdays now because of so called "midnight showings" all day. LOL! I think he was hoping I would go with my sister but she hasn't finished the book and she's a slow reader. I need to see it now! :-)

Anyone have expectant mother parking spots at work?  If so, have you started using them yet?  I'm 50/50 right now. Usually when I return from lunch breaks and it's hot outside I'll park in them. But this morning since I'm cranky and my back is really sore from tennis, I went straight to the preg spots.

@nauticalmama‌ ah make him go! I was SHOCKED yesterday to get a text from FI that he wanted to take me Friday to dinner and to see it for date night. Usually Ben Affleck movies aren't high on his list but he loves crime drama so he's open to it... My manly man has a secret weak spot for Lifetime Movies (I don't even watch those) that I'm not allowed to tell anyone about... Whoops.

Come with us if he won't go! I'm sooo excited! Loved the book!

Flu shots available! But they run out of flu shots.

Flu shots available again! Oh, but the day this week that I'm actually going to the main campus they're not holding any clinics.

Flu shots at extended campuses! But the day scheduled for our office is a day that I'm going to be, you guessed it, at the main campus. Where they won't be holding any clinics.

Fuck it. I'll just get it done elsewhere and submit paperwork that it's been done.

I am highly irritated.

Ill have to catch up but I've been running around the building like a crazy person this morning. Bill Gates is here, since he is a major source of our funding. He's squirreled away in a conference room and isn't staying for the Advisory Board meeting but I'm hoping to catch a glimpse!!
