I don't think kids need tv in their rooms. Someone on facespace was asking for ways to get her 3 yo to go sleep in her own bed and several people said to put a tv in her room. Wtf?
Someone else showed me a screenshot of a facespace post where someone was going to buy their 1st grader the new iphone bc he was tired of his 5C. And she was giving her 1st grader her upgrade. That just nauseated me.

WTAF?
When I was that age, I just yelled to my friends across the street and played with dolls. I'm not even that old. Eff that for parenting, my kids can have iPhones when they buy their own!
My UO: I dislike kids with smart phones or phones at all if they don't go places unsupervised also unsupervised kids and also the parents of said kids. Maybe I am getting old.
I think awareness of different illnesses is important, but I don't think the average working class person should be solicited to raise funds for foundations that are based on raising funds for cures and treatments. I think corporations and the very rich should use their profits to contribute.
Both of my parents died from cancer, I'd love a cure, but I don't donate to cancer foundations.

I've never had a tv in my room. There were too many of us kids to have one in every room. Plus, as an adult I don't have one. DH keeps asking and the answer is no. Bedrooms are for sleeping and sexy time.
My kid would never sleep if he had a TV in his room. One time a few weeks ago I let him watch the portable DVD player in his room because he was sick and I was half hoping he would end up falling asleep for a nap. He then said he couldn't wait to watch it again at bedtime and I was like noooo way buddy.
Not gonna lie, though, there have been times I wish he had a TV just so he wouldn't get up or call for me 8383857 times.
I had a TV in my room growing up ... it was a black and white old school TV with a clicky dial and I could only get in one channel. I thought it was the coolest thing!
I hate the people standing outside of grocery stores begging for money. (I.e. Soccer teams, cheerleading squads, and even future teachers). It has been every weekend and they ask on the way in and out. No I will not give you money for standing there. Go wash a car or something.

YES! And around here, we have fire departments at 4 way tops that walk up to your car. Ugh...

I don't know if this is at all Best Buys, but the one closest to us always has DirectTV salesmen inside the store trying to sell DirectTV to you. Meanwhile, we're generally not able to get an actual Best Buy salesman to help. I get that you're busy, I work with the public for a living too, but customer service should actually provide better customer service than the DirectTV guy jumping all over the store.

Yes! Unless they are selling Girl Scout cookies! Those cute boxes can hang out at the entrance of stores all year long if they'd like to. I need me some thin mints!
I side eye anyone who name drops things or brags about how much money they have. Some asshat told me today while I was cutting his hair that he has 4 cars but he's gonna go buy a new one tomorrow becuase he doesn't have a "red" one.
Then as I am ringing him out and give him a pen to sign his credit re epi the scoffs at me and pulls out his own pen, "hahah I paid over $300 for this pen I might as well use it right?! Haha"

Just tell them you don't own a tv.
I did this once while living in a student house and the guy didn't believe me. It was true though =/
