The frustration is so real… been pregnant to long rant

I know, i know, you see this on this board a billion times…but i am literally so over being pregnant and really just want my lil princess here now. After almost a whole two weeks of hardcore contractions, discharge, pinched nerves due to her position, sleepless nights, wobbling everywhere, having to sit awkwardly and just all around being more helpless with common things i usually do on my own….im over it! lol these weekly nst/bpp visits have almost been pointless due to the fact that there is no kind of "progress" (dilation/effacement)…even my dr said to me "i know this is a pain in the butt to have to do every week". i know its all for the good of my princess..and i will do anything to make sure she is healthy 100% … and i know its all due to my history with my other two pregnancies prior…but still i just feel like the next 7 days are going to be hell. kinda praying for LO to stop being stubborn and come on out so me and her dad can love on her lol

Weekly BPPs & NSTs are NOT pointless if there is no dilation/effacement - the tests are ran to make sure LO is still safe.  They are monitoring heart rate, fluid levels, movement, etc.. - it has absolutely nothing to do with dilation or effacement.  If your LO fails a BPP or NST, your ob may make the decision to evict LO for her own safety, and that has nothing to do with the ripeness of your cervix.

Also, LO is not being stubborn because she hasn't come prior to 39 weeks gestation.

i totally understand that…n like i had posted i know that its mainly due to my past two pregnancies…but its more so the reg dr visits after the test that are really getting to me @golfingdarwinfish

I hear ya girl. It's just the anticipation that's killing me. I'm so excited to meet her! I've been having lots of contractions that come hard and then stop but all in the name of progress, I'm at 3cm which I'm excited about. Just ready to meet her now! Patience is gone but there is no other choice but to wait so trying to stay busy and make the most of my time now.

I'm due today and I know she's not showing up. We had a false labor scare on Monday which sucked so bad, followed by that nesting energy that i heard about and now nothing. Everyone keeps calling so no Facebook or texting for me, they can wait. She's so far down I feel like she'll fall out with every move I make. I am just tired and I agree with OP about the weekly test being annoying though important but if something was happening it would be different.

I'm so thankful for this thread. I'm four days overdue, I took castor oil yesterday, went to the bathroom a lot, started having contractions around 10:45 pm last night until around 5 am this morning, and now the contractions have subsided. I'm trying not to be disappointed and my husband tells me that even though the contractions stopped, it's still a sign of progress. I thought today was the day my baby boy would make his debut. If not today, hopefully tomorrow. Thanks for providing the room to vent. Lots of love!

I took the castor oil under my doctor's recommendation, and I took it in small doses in order to avoid being terribly sick with nausea and horrible diarrhea. I posted my comment on this thread to thank you for being here and letting me vent and in response, I receive snarky and judgmental comments. Thanks for your brutal honesty.

totally understandable. i was lucky with my other two that they slept thru the night. but with this one i will have extra help at night.

but seriously, castor oil, is it that bad? I've never really heard of the negatives and positives of it rather than leaky bowels and throwing up. goodness glad i stayed away from those methods!

I know how you feel ! I am currently 2 days overdue just waiting for this LO to decide when she wants to come out! Glad I never tried castor oil from everyone's reaction.. Stairs/ball/pineapple you name it I've tried it lol .. She's just too comfy in there. Have an ultrasound Thursday, my 41 week appointment, hoping she makes an appearance before that!

Due in 3 days...have an ob appointment on my due date and was sure I was going to go before then....last Monday, I was 70% effaced, and dilated 2 cm....come on, baby boy!  I is tired of the diabetes!  AND, more importantly, I want to meet you!

the pineapple works! @krissyr13 i did it with my son when i was about 4 days over due…went into labor within a good 5 hrs of eating a whole pineapple
