Welcome to TTC After Loss. I'm so sorry for your loss but am happy you have found us. ((hugs)) This board is full of brilliant and kind women who have experienced the hardship of losing that which is most precious, and I hope you find great comfort and support here in your journey!

For those of you so new that you don't know the routine, this is a check-in for newer members of the TTCAL Board. Please feel free to use this space to ask those "newbie" questions that feel intimidating to ask on the main board and I will try my best to get you an answer.

**Please don't feel that you have to provide individual feedback to all of the posters ahead of you. Many do and it's great, but it's most definitely not required to be a part of this check-in. I'd just hate to think people might feel intimidated and not post because of this. All posts and responses are welcomed!**

@powerofbacon I'm so happy your birthday was great! It sounds amazing. Ugh AF. I don't know how I missed that she showed, sorry! I think taking the "relaxed" route is good. Everyone needs that once in a while, especially AL.

I am 6dpo! We had good timing so I'm just kind of relaxed right now. If I get a bfn, I'm taking a break for personal reasons until January. I

@PowerOfBacon That sounds like a great birthday. I love going to wineries! We are considering staying with mh's uncle in the fingerlakes for our anniversary to save some $$ and also be able to hit the wineries. 

I hope this first month of trying is relaxing for you...I imagine it would be easy to get really stressed but it sounds like you have a good plan.

I have my D&C follow up appointment today. I feel great right now and I can't wait to kick this Dr to the curb. I've started temping just bc I'm curious to see if I do O this month and to see if I can predict somewhat when I'll get my period. 

My friends would prob describe me as: a good listener, goofy, and smart

I think this is going to be my last week doing the newbie check-in. I have greatly appreciated the support here, I just don't feel like a newbie anymore. Thanks for everything ladies!

CD1 does suck but being that this is my second cycle and ive had a 28 day cycle both times im at least thankful for that and hoping that it remains pretty consistent(looking for any bit of a silver lining here as im sure is obvious lol) I realllyy hope this cycle goes well for you and that your 2ww goes quickly and you get your BFP!!

far as the QOTW:crazy, hilarious, sweet is what i constantly have heard my entire life. I would pick totally different ones but hey..thats what the people say

Hey Ladies!

 

I got positive OPKs on Friday and Saturday. Temp went up Sunday, but down yesterday, and then back up today so I'm not sure if I've ovulated or not. No crosshairs on FF. But I sincerely hope I did, because timing would be pretty great.

Our little furniture biz is still doing good! My mom has mostly been doing the upholstery on the ottoman order we got last week. I just shipped out a pillow order from last week. And today someone is potentially coming to buy a table from us! H also spotted an old coffee table randomly sitting behind a store in a parking lot the other day after eating out for dinner and I immediately had a vision for it. I painted it in a light minty blue/green and we're removing the glass top and putting in a chalkboard. It started raining when I was working on it on Sunday so I didn't get to finish it, but hopefully we'll have it done this weekend.

 

QOTW: I just realized that I have no idea what my friends think of me. To describe me I bet they would say that I love wine, shopping, and Justin Timblerlake. Personality-wise, maybe that I'm talkative, fun, and an open book? I really don't know.

OPKs are still very negative and not getting any darker yet which is disappointing. I'm hoping they at least start getting darker this weekend and maybe I'll O on my usually CD20-21. That'd be best case scenario at this point.

@ldubhawksfan i dont know if its normal but i would THINK it is..i mean i know its how i feel...i know if i dont try ill never get what i want but im also terrified that even if i DO get pregnant..then what? i mean prior to the loss it was scary cause you wondered if the baby would be healthy and if you would carry full term. After the loss all that worry is there PLUS the fear of suffering thru that pain again!!i mean its terrifying to me. You are certainly not the only one feeling what you are feelin!!!hugs girl!!!many many hugs!!

I think that you need three higher temps after that low/O temp on FF to get your cross hairs. Maybe you will get them tomorrow! What's with all the open circles? Also, a cheat that someone told me is to put the next few days temps in higher, and see if it gives you CH's. So you could put tomorrow and thursdays temps above what you're at now and just see what happens--Just for fun  Let me know if you do this, and if you get Cross hairs! I'd love to know what day it says you O'ed!

It looks like you're going to have fantastic timing! Are you temping with FF? Do you have a link to your chart, or am I just overlooking it? :-/

I'm doing ok emotionally right now. A little sensitive but pretty strong. I did start bleeding and cramping this morning which is a big relief. I was feeling very anxious over how long I would be in limbo. I'm also feeling lucky that I can stay at home today and eat ice cream and potato chips.

I am wondering how long I'll bleed and how long till normal cycles start again. From all the reading I've been doing it sounds like the answer is "everyone is different."

Now that I've been dx low amh I just constantly worry about why it's not happening, and if I let myself go into a dark place....it's not pretty. So I try to stay positive, hang out on here with all you wonderful ladies, and really just take it one day at a time. Yes there are days where I'm terrified and days where I get stressed. The process is not pretty, and sometimes it is not enjoyable...but for me, The fear of loss is way less than the desire to have a baby. Your feelings are normal :x ((hugs))

Oh and I want to also mention something to all of you guys who are new to charting! When you log in to FF, there is a place on the top left side that you can "add nickname" and it will change your information to a different name. Would you all kindly change your info to your bump username? It's soooo hard to tell you all apart and keep up if your chart # is like 56Fa3 or something  ( Thanks loves!!!

I'm so glad that things are moving along for you. Hopefully you don't need the medicine. I hope you're enjoying the ice cream, you freakin deserve it girl! As far as the "normal" time for AF to come back, and things like that--yes, it's all different for everyone. I'm sure you've looked at the blog; there is a section on there that has a poll that people voted in to tell their af return time. Also, there are a lot of threads on the main board that this topic have been discussed in. I think if you can search, you could probably find them

For me personally, I had an ectopic. My hcg was never higher than 277. When I went to the ER it was 234 and I had been bleeding for maybe an hour. My AF came back just about 4 weeks later.

Hey all,
    My beta on Wednesday last week was down to 162.   I'm hoping when I go tomorrow it's 0.  I'm getting bloodwork and an ultrasound tomorrow for my follow up.  I hope they have the path reports as well, but I don't know.

@LDubHawksFan - I think the way you are feeling is COMPLETELY normal. While I still want a baby so badly, I am completely terrified of experiencing a loss again. I think my fear has definitely become less crippling over the past month but I can't imagine that it will ever go away completely.

@negritosmami - you always have such a great attitude, it is really inspiring me to try to be more positive and look at the bright side of things. Thank you.

@Belle0720 - FX that you Oed when you think you did and had great timing!

@saritacw - As everyone has said, everyone really is different. For me, it tooks 31 days from my D&C til my first AF, but my doctor told me anywhere from 2-8 weeks is normal. I hope the time goes quickly for you and you can start to feel like your body is returning to normal soon! (Hugs)

@26summer - FX that you are down to 0 tomorrow. Please keep us updated! GL!

AFM, I definitely did spend the weekend testing out my new OPKs! All negs but that is what I was expecting, it's still pretty early in the cycle for me to O. Hopefully I will get a positive in the next week or so. This is really just a test run anyway since we are TTA until next cycle. Other than that, nothing much going on with me. Hope all you ladies enjoy the rest of your weeks!

I found out that my sister-in-law is pregnant. She got her BFP the same week I miscarried. They just told us last week. Whenever I get little updates (she heard the baby's heartbeat, she's got morning sickness, etc.), I feel so jealous and then I feel guilty for not being happier for her. Still haven't ovulated, either.

I'm so sorry you're dealing with that. The jealously is normal, to an extent, I would say. Don't worry too much Welcome to the check in.

The past few weeks have been killer at work. Lots of long days (still working now), resulting in me not being able to check-in with you all today. I'll be back to see what's up with you all - hopefully by Friday. Know that I'm sending all of you the most positive and happy vibes ever.

In the grand scheme of things, I'm doing okay. My body has been absolutely bananas in terms of temperatures and weird shit (sore boobs, being exhausted, dizzy, etc). I have no clue what the deal is, so that's driving me batty. But I'll deal. The end of this week starts FW in theory, so we'll see what happens. Going to get as much BD in as we can. 

A co-worker (the one that told me she was pregnant literally the sentence after I told her about our loss) found out she lost her baby last week. As much hurt as there was on my part with her lack of common sense with telling me, my heart broke for her. I'm trying to be there for her as much as I can and support her the best I can. She had a D&C last week, and seems to be recovering well. Sigh. 

Guess I should get my butt back to work. Sigh. Have a glass of wine for me or something. 

I'm sorry you're slammed at work, Lady! I'm so happy your FW is coming up soon! I always hate when my boobs are sore before my FW, It's happened  My heart breaks for your co-worker. That is awful. What do you do that you're still working? It's 8pm here in Ohio, where are you?

Hey ladies. I intro'd last week, but this is my first check in on this board. I went off of my bc last December, expecting issues getting pregnant due to my PCOS. Low and behold, I found out I was pregnant in February. I miscarried in March, the week before my wedding. 10/6 was my EDD, and my husband and I just really seriously started "trying" (not just not preventing, but really trying) last month, so I'm here for support from others who understand the complex emotions of dealing with loss and fear while trying to stay optimistic. I'm also learning how to chart, so it's been super helpful to hear from ladies with experience.

Aside from TTC, I'm into cooking, gluten free baking, quilting, canning, gardening, and hanging with my dogs and cat.

AFM: As my darling rslh10 mentioned, I am in the later half of my 2WW and I'm going nuts!!!!! I haven't had a chance to post on CT because I just don't have time to during the day. My BT is Friday at 6am, but I don't know when I'll actually find out the results. The progesterone supplements I am on are messing with my mind.

On top of that, I'm not having a great week at school. @Readinglove I don't think teaching is ever going to be easy, especially since CC hit, but let's not go there! I'm already so overwhelmed and it's only the end of September. I just hope I catch up soon.

@ctk181 thank you girl. I try. and i do mean i TRY..verry verry HARD to remain as positive and optimistic as i can about this whole thing. Having a pregnant sister, this can be quite the challenge. She recently got in a car accident..hit on HER SIDE...and the baby is still fine. Im happy for that but in my mind im like how the HELL can i do everything to the best of my abilities to keep my baby and still lose it..but she get T-BONED and her baby STILL just ticking away. Im a logical person so stuff like that, which defies logic, is sometimes hard for me to process. not that i would have it any other way far as my niece and sister being unharmed but its hard at times. I say all that to say im not ALWAYS so positive lol i definitely have my WHY WHY WHY moments but they will defeat me if i stay in em too long!!aint nobody got time for that

@PowerofBacon - Hope your birthday was wonderful! That's a great attitude to have about ovulation. I think when you have that mentality it will make sex fun and less pressured. FX for you!

@LDubHawksFan - Yes, I think we have all had that feeling. Felt that way after my first loss for sure. I was so worked up all the time about it. Mainly it was fear. Although I did subsequently miscarry again, I know my attitude made everything worse. I never enjoyed the weeks with my sweet pea. I wish I had cherished it a little more.  Of course, it is all easier said than done.  
@negritosmami -Hope ovulation comes when you expect and you have great timing!
@Belle0720 - glad you have more furniture orders! They really are beautiful and unique pieces!  
@saritacw -Sorry for your loss. Hope you recover physically really soon- I know the emotional healing may take a lot longer. My periods after both D&Cs returned exactly 4 weeks after the procedure. Hope you aren't in limbo too long. Hugs to you!
@26summer -Glad your betas are coming down!@ctk181 - Hope you O next week when you expect and you and DH will be on track to TTC next cycle.

My RE appointment went well. He has a plan in place to check a few more labs (in addition to the ones my OB had already ordered months ago), sperm analysis, and do an ultrasound. He didn't really say what he thinks is going on, but he did say it is interesting that both pregnancies ended at almost the same weeks along. I did tell him that we were given the green light to TTC by my OB and that hubby and I had gone for it this month. He wasn't thrilled by that decision but he was very nice about it and said he will follow with us if we did conceive this month. So we shall see what happens!Hope everyone is having a great week so far!

I'm actually thinking I should test later in the week because AF isn't due until the 11th even though I'll be 12dpo. That would make this LP like 17 days! Such a long wait :-t
