So, I just HAD to share this. I was working on my corset for my Halloween costume tonight, and I'm pretty proud of it. It's actually starting to look like a real corset. The only problem is I'm not sure how to close the back. I had decided to go with buttonholes earlier, but after spending 2 hours doing 9 buttonholes (it was my first time doing it on my machine) I realized that I had done it on the side back piece, instead of the back piece, so I had to take it off.
My other option is grommets, but I hand set all of my grommets, which requires quite a bit of banging with a hammer to get each one in.
I said to MH "I'm not sure whether I want to go through the pain and hassle of buttonholes again, or if I should just go with grommets."
He says "Just go with the grommets."
I reminded him that that means that I would have to be banging again, and he immediately says "Go with the buttonholes".
Funny man! I'm sure we all have stories like this, so feel free to share

Okay, DH is a jokester. He's the guy who gives random names to the barista at Starbucks (Bruce Banner, Bojangles, etc). Bojangles is one of his favorites and a couple of months ago for some reason he decided to make Bojangles Latin (Bo.han.glaze). So fast forward to me deciding a week ago to try Evening Primrose Oil pills to increase fertile CM. I bought them at GNC while DH was along for the ride. He asked what they were for and I tried to explain. I only got halfway through the explanation when he started calling it "herbaceous lube." He has now created a sales pitch for "Bojangles' (the Latin version) Hebaceous Lube" which is "endorsed" in his mind by Antonio Banderas. Welcome to my life.

That's awesome that's you're making your own corset! I am not so talented but do enjoy corsetting. I get mine from Orchard corset. I'd add a story but I'm drawing a blank. I'll come back if I remember one!

@artgeek009 - it's a skill I discovered I have a few years ago and I've been refining it since. I've actually started trying to sell some custom fit corsets, but no biters yet. I haven't bought from Orchard Corset yet, but if you've heard of Madame Cher, I had an order in with her before I discovered I was pregnant and had to cancel it :-(
@furrypaws - I will, once I decide on grommets or button holes lol. And that totally sounds like something MH would do, even though he "hates" the dog.

Last week, I was being all depressed about CD1. It was our usual date night so we went out to eat. I was talking about having the sads and my OH was trying to cheer me up but wasn't having much luck. He finally told me that he thought it was time we tried the other way. I was like what other way and he said, "You know, the other one." He looked so serious and I just stared at him, I didn't understand that he was making a butt sex joke until he winked at me. I laughed so loud that the people in the next table looked at me. Only he could be inappropriate in a crowded restaurant and make me be the one getting stared at.

My hubby makes up his own words to songs. Usually he makes them about me, but not always. His latest masterpiece was earlier this week when I was making a chicken pot pie. He stood over me as I rolled out the crust and sang, "Chicken pot pie, and I don't care" to the tune of "Jimmy Crack Corn." Such a dork!
He also makes up conversations between animals. Usually it's our cats and dog. But the other day when we were walking into work, 2 geese flew over the building, honking loudly. He started making up what they were saying (they both had unique voices too). The one in the back was apparently yelling at the one in the front because it was flying too fast and they hadn't stopped since Canada. The goose in the back was also criticizing the leader because "he" didn't think it made sense to fly in formation when there were only 2 of them. My husband was laughing so hard by the end of their "conversation." Sometimes I wonder where he comes up with this stuff.
