It's my day to be up with LO. I tried to make a nice breakfast for us, but that didn't work out. No milk = no waffles and my crescent roll dough smelled funny. So it's bagels or oatmeal. Sorry not sorry.
LO is playing, I'm having coffee and making a shopping list. Today's my day to get some mama time. I wish, wish, wish it could be mama time at home, but I know that doesn't usually work out and that I need to leave the house if I want some free time. I might try to sneak in both since H won't be home during any of LO's waking hours tomorrow. So I have a list of stores to go to and either nails or panera with a book. I do have a free panera pastry...
How are you guys this morning? Hoping the ladies with fussy bedtime babies got at least a little sleep.
Good morning! @Shellbell3845, I hope you are able to sneak in that manicure or Panera. I mean, you have a free pastry coming, so it would be horrible to just waste that, right??
My mom and I are doing Race for the Cure this morning. I was just trying to figure out how long we've been doing this, and I'm pretty sure this is our 15th year! The year DS was born, he came with me. He was only 2 weeks old and I made him a tiny white onesie that said Real Men Wear Pink I love doing this with my mom and holding her hand as we cross the finish line every year!
ETA: The year DS was born, I wasn't running any 5Ks at 2 weeks pp, just realized how that looked! We walked the one-mile family route
@ramfan05 Wow! Good for you! That's so cool and I'm really proud of you for doing the Race for so long. I hope you have fun! I'll be thinking of you and your mom today.
Morning guys. @shellbell3845 I hope you enjoy your alone time!! I vote pedicure, but that's only because I'm in desperate need of one,I'll be living vicariously through you.
I was asleep by 8 which turned out to be a smart move...W woke up every 2 hours until 3:30, when I realized we were in the middle of a poopsplosion. All over herself, her clothes, and the bed.
Then she was wide awake and ready to party, so we didn't go back to bed until 5am. BUT she let us sleep until just now!! 8 am!!! Icannot remember the last time I was in bed that late. :-) I'm still tired as all hell, but it's nice not to be getting up when it's still dark outside.
No clue what we're doing today. I'm hoping a playdate/visit with my friend and her daughter. And tomorrow is my last official "on the floor" shift day!!!!!!!!!!! Then it's basically freedom!!!!!!!!!
Good Morning ladies. DH is taking DS1 to the Jets game today. So it's just me and LO for the day. I plan to go to the farmer's market this morning and then we have to wait for the furniture delivery. We are getting our dining room set and our bed today! It's inevitable they will show up during nap time since the window is 12-4.
I might send my whole stitch fix back.. sad face. I just can't decide what to do. I may post a thread later.
DH just listed about 4 hours worth of stuff he wants/needs to do today. I was kinda sorta hoping he would take the lead on childcare. So I'll go out for mama time...but feel pressure to get home ASAP. Great.
I need to own a robe. What kind do you have? Flannel? Short? Long? LACE?!?? **************************************** I've never understood the point of a robe, aside from covering my hiney while doing laps on the maternity floor. Enlighten me.
@TessyMessy You should definitely make a post about your fix.
@Sakura0019 I'd be worried about it seeming cramped. I had the same dilemma with a bench for my entryway. I think yours is wider than mine. I opted for just a bench instead of something with a back and shelving above so it wouldn't take over the space.
@shellbell3845 - to the left of the door, behind it.
Also, I don't think you should feel pressure to get back. You do deserve a break every now and then. His list will still be there, and it will get done at some point. Enjoy some you time!
This! Or....crazy concept, but he could try to get that stuff done WITH your LO in tow!
Hahahahhahahahaaaa we all know how well that works. But seriously, try and enjoy your time. Maybe set a time frame, like "I'll be home at 2pm" or whatever, but you need alone time to recharge.
Both the boys have nasty colds - like I-don't-know-where-all-the-thick-yellow-snot-comes-from nasty!
They slept like crap and DS1 is coughing like crazy now, too. It was just announced that the EV-D68 has made it to my state, so I'm paranoid and constantly listening to them breathe.
Good news is that they both are actually appreciating the Nose Frita, and DS1 asks to get his nose sucked. Fun times at our house!
On a non-nasty note, the painters are there painting the house we're buying, and it looks a million times better! I've been getting excited and pinning all the ideas about our yellow front door and porch decorating ideas. Counting the days until we move out of MIL's basement!!
@Sakura0019 I love that idea! I think it will work out great exactly how you have it planned. That was going to be my suggestion until I saw you were already thinking of doing it that way. I have a handy DH too. He's a union carpenter and knows how to build all of the things... so I make him build alllll of the things. *high five*
@codypup That seems like a lot for a DVD. Eek. I know it's the whole season, but goodness!
Good morning. ~O) I have nothing planned for today but I really want to do something fun. We'll see. I guess that means I have to get out of bed first. I convinced DS1 to sit in his bed after he woke up and watch a Buzz Lightyear movie, and I just got done feeding LO. I need motivation to get up today. |)
Baby just took my pizza crust! That's my favorite part.
I'm wearing my robe right now! I don't like to be cold. I swear I wore it every day while pregnant, because lazy. I also have a short one for summer. It's cute and sheer, I actually bought it in the lingerie section. I wear it when it's super hot, but I don't want to walk around naked. Or sometimes when I'm doing my hair, etc. it makes me feel like a glamorous movie star
Guise! I need help! How much should I tip the furniture delivery men? Last time we got furniture we picked up at IKEA and the time before that I can't remember what DH tipped.

It never occurred to me to tip furniture delivery guys. We had all new furniture delivered for the whole house when we bought our first house. I wasn't around for the deliveries, I wonder if DH tipped. Hmm, oops.

We usually do $5-10 each, depending on how much furniture they're bringing in.

They just got here. Of course because LO just went down for a nap. If they don't wake the baby I will tip them nicely!!
I'm reading about the hotel we're staying at next week and parking is $17 a night! Parking should be included with the prices Disney charges.
Maybe that's a Disneyland thing? Or maybe it's for guests not staying at the resort but there for another reason? At WDW parking is included with resort stays.
No, we're staying at the resort. It specifically says for registered guests. It didn't occur to me we'd have to pay for parking. When we went to WDW for our honeymoon we just took the shuttle to our hotel so I never had to think about parking. This is the first time we're staying on property at Disneyland. The good neighbor hotels have free parking and shuttles to Disneyland.

$20? Depends how much furniture and how many people. I think we gave an extra $75 to the 3 guys who moved our entire house, on top of the actual rate.

That's weird, and annoying. WDW seems to have a lot more perks for guests staying onsite than Disneyland does.
Yeah, I think it's so different because WDW is such a huge complex. If only Walt had bought up all the land around Disneyland... but then we might not have WDW.
morning ladies! finally all caught up. got a late start this morning. were having a lazy sunday the bf made breakfast croissant sandwiches and were watching Football while LO sleeps. its very nice actually.
DD just napped for an hour and 35 minutes! She hasn't napped longer than 50 minutes in months and even 50 minutes isn't the norm. Plus, I put her in fully awake (but super cranky), she fussed for a minute then was out.
(((Hugs))) @elf828. Just think how great it'll be to see LO and DH on Saturday! Hopefully even though you're on a work trip you'll be refreshed and recharged.
I'm at Panera for a few minutes. I went to buy some pumpkins and some clothes (bought too much, oops). Then I'm going to spend my kohls cash. I can't decide if something for LO or some decoration type stuff.

IMO, @Codypup, you need different robes for different seasons. I have long and fluffy for the winter, and I like cotton for the warmer months.

@MissDemeanor you might need that for RV there Yet.

I bought a new outfit to wear to story hour tomorrow.
