37 weeks - Winter melon! 

I had an appt this Tuesday with a growth scan. Baby is measuring approx 5lbs 11oz, although tech said she finds that usually runs high. I was very relieved when she said that instead of sticking with the "It's accurate!" routine. Makes me feel more comfortable with the practice, if that makes sense. He's head WAY down and dropping. Doc said I was not dilated but she could definitely tell that he's dropped. Hang in there, baby! 17 more days before I'll allow you to come out.

OH, and the GBS did not include a butt swab. 

I'm not really a "shopper" so I don't have an answer for what I like to buy for me, but for baby I love those itty bitty gowns and sleepers! I know he won't be in them for long so I try to hold off, but dang they are so precious.

1. How many weeks are you?/How big is baby? (Fruit/Veggie) 38 Weeks/Pumpkin  

2. Symptoms, Rants, Cravings, Appointments? Just had an appointment yesterday and everything went well/looks good. The midwife is estimating 7-7.5lbs right now. That would put this baby right at the same weight DD was when she was born--about 8.5lbs. I've been nauseous lately with some cramping, but other than that I've been feeling well. My next appointment is a week from tomorrow.

3. GTKY:  What is your favorite thing to buy when you go shopping (baby or non-baby related)? I love buying kids clothes! It's such a horrible thing for our bank account, but it's so much fun! And kids go through clothes like they do food.

2. Symptoms, Rants, Cravings, Appointments?  Appointment tomorrow, I hope the baby is head down but I am pretty sure she is hiccuping in my ribs so I'm not optimistic.  If she is breech I'm going to be scheduled for a version next week.  Hoping to avoid that but would rather the version than a c/s.

3. GTKY:  What is your favorite thing to buy when you go shopping (baby or non-baby related)?  Not really a "favorite" but every single time I'm at a store that has coolers in the checkout lines I grab a Diet Pepsi.  DD even asks me now if I want one!

36 weeks - honeydew!

Appointment tomorrow, but baby was head down last week. OB did an U/S because my cervix is not and dilated and not even beginning to soften, so she couldn't just feel it I guess. Also had my GBS culture (yay) and TMI, it made my ass bleed. ( Nausea has returned along with this weird thing like blood sugar getting too low or something where I just feel out of it and have this weird light-headedness and strange feeling in my chest. If I eat, it feels better, but it's happening like every 2-3 hours. Maybe I'm coming down with something (I hope not).

Favorite thing to buy...dessert stuff. There for a long time, I would buy cake mixes and powdered sugar every time I went shopping out of habit because I used to be a cake decorating instructor. When the stuff started going bad before I could use it, I stopped, but it's still one of those things when I see a yummy looking cake or cookie mix I must buy it...

39 weeks - watermelon

Had an appt today--no dilation progress. Still 1 cm. feeling really energetic though despite the gloomy weather outside.

I love shopping for dresses even though I don't wear them very often. I'll usually have a couple in my closet for a few months before I wear them. Or the occasional "goal" dress that I will never wear because I will never feel fully confident in my body

2. Symptoms, Rants, Cravings, Appointments? My appointment this week was just a normal one. Baby's head is engaged, she isn't moving around as much and I was negative for GBS! Doc didn't check for dilation since she checked the week before. 

3. GTKY:  What is your favorite thing to buy when you go shopping (baby or non-baby related)? This probably sounds silly but I enjoy shopping for things that my family needs like food etc. I don't buy things for myself often and when I do I usually feel guilty

2. Symptoms, Rants, Cravings, Appointments?

Lots of headaches the last few days. Had an ultrasound and an appointment this morning, the baby was measuring great (GD) but his fluid is low. I believe they said 6.31 or maybe 6.13, can't remember. My blood pressure is also high so tomorrow I start the lovely 24 hour urine collection and then Saturday I have to go to L&D to be observed and have more tests done. As much as I want him here, I'd like him to get to term first. Hopefully the fluid stays the same 2 more weeks. But I knew I had a leak, I told the doctor last time and they tested it and said no it's discharge I don't feel very confident that it's going to get better. 

3. GTKY:  What is your favorite thing to buy when you go shopping (baby or non-baby related)?

3 years ago I would have said CLOTHES! I was such a shopper! Then I had DS #2 and put on too much weight and hate shopping for myself. So I guess I'd have to say stuff for my kids. I'm pretty excited to Christmas shop soon!

Symptoms, Rants, Cravings, Appointments?  craving all junk food and purchased cheetos, fritos, and apple fritters at the store today.  not sure what DH and DD will do for meals but i'm set   on monday, dr. said baby was measuring a bit small (guess it's been happening over the past few visits) so scheduled for a sonogram this coming monday.  not exactly worried since this happened with my last pregnancy, too, but hope all is well with tater and he's just balled up tight or something.

3. GTKY:  What is your favorite thing to buy when you go shopping (baby or non-baby related)?  i love buying ben & jerry's ice cream which is kind of baby related since i've been eating so much of it since becoming pregnant!
