I just found out my BIL is getting married in FL in January.  

I don't really see how the three of us could make this trip for less than 1K.  Maybe we could drive, but that's a really long drive for a weekend.

Cleaning house for our BBQ tomorrow. Dh is eating all the crackers. I told him he should take the kids and go to his moms, I'll get more done without him here. He didn't take me up on it. Sigh.

On a happier note, tomorrow we're getting Charlie baptized and then having a big BBQ, and my entire family is coming up. Can't wait to see them all and not have to drive two hours to do it!

Today is DSs birthday party...just mostly family gathering at a pizza place and cake.. Hopefully it's not too hectic. I didn't even want to have a party this year because money and also just not motivated but ... Alas. My ILs are being very kind and offered to buy the food And then of course DS has been begging for a cowboy cake so I couldn't resist.. Just hope it's not too halfassed since I threw it together kind of at the last minute.

I also have to take a statistics test online this evening. I'm ecstatic.

Football game was a success, DSS got to start and play almost the whole game! Now running some errands and then out to lunch. Probably grocery shopping later. Think I'm going to make meatloaf for myself and the boys since dh hates it and he will be working

Hi all. I haven't been around much lately. Work is really busy. I'm actually doing some work now that DD has finally decided to take a nap. She was awake for 40 minutes at 4:30 this morning, went back to bed until 7:30, and then didn't take a nap until just now. Needless to say, I'm in a grump mood. Hoping that a trip to Target and the grocery store cheers me up a bit later.

I was sad at the beginning of the evening, along with being excited, because I missed my little dude. But because I'm such an awesome mom, it wore off fairly quickly  We ate delicious sushi, got some cheesecake to-go, and made cocktails at his house with lots of music and talking and sex. He has a lightsaber, and he let me play with it. It makes awesome sounds. Oh, and I met his parents before we went to dinner. They're sweet Texas people.

My boobs, though. OMG my boobs. They are so sore and hard as rocks right now. Even after DS nursed a bit.

No, he does have a fancy toy lightsaber and I very much enjoyed it. He keeps it in his nerd room where he has his comic book library and super hero prints hanging all over the walls.

No, it seems to be personal stories. I hope my DD doesn't inherit her dad's tendency to say creepy shit while asleep. H has told me that there's a "little man" in the closet (my side of the bed is near the closet) while he was asleep.

Is the Reddit article the one where the kid on a hike said that there were things watching them from the trees? That freaked me out.

I found velcro Chucks for DS at Once Upon A Child. And he wants to be a lion for Halloween and I found a lion costume too. And an adorable pea coat. Yesssss.

And then, there was traffic so I tried to find a different way home and happened upon this quaint little fall flea market and checked that out. 

Now I'm home alone watching Murder, She Wrote. Today's pretty good.

Baby boy is fighting sleep. He was extra good all day though so I can't complain.

I have a sinus infection so I'll be cuddling on the couch after he goes to sleep with a heating pad, humidifier, big blanket and SO will likely spoil me all night like the sweetheart he is

Everyone is eating crackers here.

DH came home from work around 4 o'clock. By 4:30 he was napping on the couch. Now, Monday night-Thursday he was away on training, so Reese didn't see him at all. And of course she is a stage 5 clinger again and him napping didn't help. 

Reese was in a miserable mood since I woke her from nap. And completely attached to me. At one point I was trying to get something done and DH was half-heartedly trying to district her. I got her dinner and she didn't eat it and complained that she was tired. So she went up to bed. (it was 6:30!) As soon as she got tucked in, she said she was hungry which is her #1 stalling technique. I told her that I would get her something---by the time I checked on her she was asleep. 

Now I feel bad--I hope she isn't catching something and tomorrow is a better day.

I seriously just wanted 5 minutes peace!

I made homemade tomato sauce from scratch tonight using our shit ton of tomatoes from the garden. I have to say, I'm impressed! i did end up having to make a minor cheat move and add cornstarch to thicken it, but other than that, it has great flavor!
