Nausea that lasts all day set in a week ago, which turned into vomiting this morning. I'm tired and have some other symptoms, but want to kick this nausea. STM, is there any chance nausea/vomiting stops sooner than the beginning of the first tri? I'm 7 weeks and 1 week of feeling like this has been enough.
It feels like forever during the pregnancy but looking back even if it lasts a month or two it's not that long in the grand scheme of life! Not that that information helps you...:-p
UGH. Well, I finally threw up today... about 7 times. I've pretty much not left the couch except to go to the bathroom. Waiting to see how this chicken broth and toast stays down. Thank God DH is so sweet and willing to help out. Our DS is 3 and he's been unimpressed with my ability to play Hot Wheels with him today.
I'm only 4 weeks 3 days, but definitely feeling mild nausea and emotional roller coastering. But by far, the most annoying has been the lower back pain for the last few days. I thought I had a ways to go before back pain This is my first.
Hello everyone, How long should I expect bloating for? I am only 5 weeks but feel like it looks like I'm starting to show already. Is that normal? I've been bloated for about a week. Any suggestions on how to reduce it? I've been drinking tons of water and trying to eat healthy.
@LCRDWED Totally normal to have very few/if any symptoms. If I hadn't missed my period with DD, I would have been clueless until a bump popped out at 22 weeks. I only had a few weeks where I was passing out at 6:30 on the couch that was out of the ordinary at the end of first tri.
Oh my DD and DH may disown me soon only 6w2d and I'm a train wreck! I'm crankyyyyyy exhausted starving and nauseated all at once! And have a never empty bladder lol! I do not remember the 1st one being like this. But alas It will all be worth it in the end
I'm feeling so bloated and tired. My breasts were sore last week and now that symptom is completely gone. And I have nagging constant light cramping. Wondering if I should be worried that my breasts are no longer sore??
this is my first pregnancy and I usually puke in the morning before I've eaten anything which makes me feel worse. but if I actually throw something up, yes! like 100% better for about 30 mins. hope this helps
Hi, I don't have symptoms either apart from boobs being a bit tender but that's no different to that feeling just before you start your period! I thought I felt a bit dizzy a few times but I'm not sure if I imagined it because I am 'looking' for symptoms or expecting them. (This is my first pregnancy)
I suppose we are very lucky if we feel ok & to those who aren't - you can do it- it'll be worth it in the end :-) I'm sure everyone will have good & bad weeks & we've all got the pain to get through after 9 months...eek!
Lady teach -sorry to hear about your boss. I'm not looking forward to telling mine either but I work in a school where 99% of staff are female & he avoids hiring men so he'll just have to deal with it! I hope your second ultrasound goes well & puts your mind at rest.
So many scary things going on right now and when you don't feel any different it's hard up imagine it's real! I think it may hit home a bit more when I've had my bloods done and had my first midwife appointment!
7 weeks 5 days, and yesterday started experience very light brown spotting...something to be concerned about? Anyone else experience something similar?
7 weeks 2 days...So nauseated. Usually when I need to eat. But it comes on so quick. Fine one moment and the next I feel a little twinge of hunger and the next I am running to the bathroom cause I think I might throw up. But I haven't actually thrown up yet but I find myself wishing I would in hopes that it might make me feel better .
Oh and it's hard for Me to think of anything I actually want to eat. When I finally do, I get sick thinking about what I just ate. Haven't had left overs in over 2 weeks so food is getting expensive.
This is my second pregnancy & I'm having no nausea which I didn't have with my daughter either but sore boobs always tired with minimum energy & I usually don't have to eat but now that I'm pregnant I can't even go without eating at least my three meals a day. Other then that at the beginning I was having sharpe pains but now I'm 6weeks & 1day & I'm perfectly fine except trying to sleep I can't ever get comfortable. Oh yeah & with this pregnancy I'm showing way faster then with my daughter I didn't show until 6months.
My breasts don't hurt like they did last time which is worrying me (stupid I know). I am having terrible heartburn though which I didn't have until 3rd tri last time. It sucks!
Other than very mild waves of nausea, I don't have any symptoms which has me a bit concerned. I'm 4w3d - EDD is May 26. I did have a miscarriage back in July which was my very first pregnancy so I'm hesitant with this one being still so early on. Sore boobs and morning sickness would really put me at ease. lol. :P

Question: I am so tired all of the time. I napped on a yoga mat at work today, came home at 6 and crawled right into bed and just woke up a bit ago, and am ready for more sleep. I am worried that my lack of activity and increase of laying down and sleeping is harmful? Thoughts? Experiences?
*Quote fail* A lot of women experience this in the first trimester. Some women experience it throughout their entire pregnancies.
According to my OB in reference to my last pregnancy, no it's not harmful. I say sleep while you can. Alternatively, I've heard that some exercises and a better diet can help with the exhaustion, but before changing your diet, talk to your doctor.
For a lot of women, the exhaustion goes away or reduces during second tri.
@bearvangrol I didn't work, and I was still exhausted. I seriously spent most of my last pregnancy on one spot on my couch. It was a new couch, there is now an indent where I was. That coupled with working so much...ugh. Yeah. Normal. It's just a part of first tri, unfortunately. There's really not too much you'll be able to do other than rest when you can and wait it out. =\
@thamp17 Not so much this time, but last time, yes.
So far I haven't had a whole lot of of symptoms. Just constipation and very mild intermittent nausea. My boobs feel the same. My nipples are a little sore. I will enjoy this while I can because it sounds like I have a lot of symptoms coming!
First pregnancy, 7w2d. Bloated, loose stool, sore breasts and headache every now and then. And nothin else. I feel fine most of the time. My symptoms disappear some days and that scares me a lot.
I'm feeling a lot of the same things... boobs hurt like crazy (worse at night).. I went to Target and bought some bras like a sports bra but they're not... with no underwire. Now that I've started to sleep in them it made a HUGE difference! I've had nausea and severe indigestion. All of these symptoms started right at 4 weeks. However, the nausea and indigestion come and go now. It scares me when they all disappear because it makes me think something is wrong... but then they all hit me again either hours or a day later. The cramps have also been something that comes and goes. Some moments they hit bad (not sharp but painful) and sometimes they are dull, they hit either in the front, back or both. I've had some days where I'm hungry but it sucks because nothing sounds good, smells good or tastes good. My favorite candy tasted metallic-ie! :-( And last but not least I'm extremely bloated and everything fits tight from that... which only makes my sickness feeling worse. The only things I want to wear are either dresses or loose sweats. And last but not least... I'm tired but for whatever reason my body does not let me give in to sleep. I usually don't fall asleep till midnight or so... and I'm up by 7. (That's not counting the bathroom runs during the night and other things that wake me up.) We haven't told everyone yet so it's been hard sometimes to be around folks. My family members that do know have all said everything I'm experiencing is normal.
I'm 7 weeks 3 days and symptoms come and go. Gassy and bloated, loose stools, only one mildly sore breast, and just a bit of nausea that comes and goes. I am exhausted though.
Ok so I had horrible acid reflux. It got better then nausea came. Now the reflux is back and Tums isn't kicking it. My RE said I could take Zantac. I'm pretty sure it was Zantac. But my pregnancy brain is questioning that now. Has anyone else been told that was ok? If so is the Zantac 150 the right one?
I think I read somewhere the Prevacid is a safe one... But I think all antacids are safe... Prilosec or Prevacid are one pill a day preventers which is great. My twins are giving me terrible heart burn too! Prevacid works tho!
Let's see...mostly just starving and dry heaving in the morning. BBs are sore, but no different than when I get my period. Breakfast is the worst, I know I have to eat it, but getting it down is a chore.
7w1d here! I have been telling my husband that I hope I get more symptoms soon... so far only mildly sore breasts and fatigue. Symptoms would be reassuring!!!! We did see a heartbeat (158bpm) on Wednesday - and that has helped my anxiety!!! Anyone else wishing for symptoms lol?
Hormones! The other day I cried for five minutes because I couldn't get money out in time to give to a homeless guy at a stoplight holding up a sign that said "FOOD"
