Agreed, I don't blame any of the regs. It was pretty hypocritical to blast our regs. for doing the same flaming that happens everywhere. I'll admit I only posted on non drama threads when I had something to say. It was very much a "who are you?" Board at that point and I was always afraid I didn't post "enough" to be recognized. Which led to further self consciousness- a cycle of lurking.
Which reminds me- hey you regular lurkers out there- you can come out and post now!
Amen! I lurked for a long time prior to DS being born but only started posting a lot much later. Kinda sad the turn of events that had to take place for that to happen.
Booo. This one DDd when I was trying to get to page 3. She's a character, though.
In all fairness, re the Voldemod thing, we don't know that the money was used to buy a glider. We have no idea where it went but she had made such a big deal out of the PB glider that it became the explanation as a joke. It all hot sorted out in the end but certainly a good lesson in Internet Stranger a Danger!
Wait! I'm not a fan of GhostMonkey, but how was she banned? That was the least offensive stuff I've read from GM! I guess that PM must have been a doozey...
May 14JanSiggyChallengeNew Yearsresolutions I willnot keep: Saving Money
I heard it wasn't necessarily that bad, but was the straw that broke the camels back. She had definitely said much worse than whatever that PM was but I guess Beej had enough.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought GM took it a little far sometimes. I was okay with most of her stuff if it was true but she just seemed extra aggressive day she got banned.
I am LOVING this thread btw. I think it's a good thing we have this thread because it means we don't have the dramaz here and it's nice to come "home" to somewhere calm.
That is awful! Reminds me of the time someone posted that they were secretly relieved because it increased their own odds for a successful pregnancy. Who thinks, then has the balls to actually say shit like that?!

we got in to it on ttgp and I can't remember why. Probably said something stupid. I canceled my account (by asking the bump gods) because I wanted to focus more on ttgp and less on the drama. Then I made a new account after I got pregnant. I remember us going at it for a while in a thread and I laid in to her and she asked for an apology but I wouldn't give it for the longest time. Then I finally gave her an under the table kind of apology. We were "cool" but I called her out once and was preparing for battle, but she never responded. She was really good at twisting shit up. I didn't like her but she was definitely entertaining
Not after the first " you put words in my mouth" reaction... Really cause it's the internet and we are READING your words... Just reiterates how dumb she must be irl.
Brings up another point- I lurk on other BMBs but I don't love tit or anything- what are the rules/ norms on this?
Definitely an interesting read and some heated debates
Meh I don't really like the names board and they hate my daughter's name.
I like to lurk on baby names, I find it interesting what other people pick. But it seems like the regs over there will put down anything that's too common, too trendy, too modern or not traditional.
@comicsans I really like Aubrey Madeleine, that's beautiful! Don't you dare feel self conscious about that! I met one Aubrey once before, a girl. I don't see how it's masculine at all...
I don't have the link but Mar15 has one "nursing at back to school night with no cover" basically OP is a teacher bashing the mom of one of her students for NIP uncovered and called the student androgynous and an asshole. Complete with WKs and everything. So crazy train they made a guestbook post for all the lurkers. I signed for us yw.

Whats your daughter's name, if you don't mind me asking @comicsans?
She's Aubrey. I lurked over there quite a bit when searching for names so I knew they hated it when we finally decided. I've seen it said that it's too masculine. I know it was originally a male name, but I don't find it at all masculine. I also know it's kind of trendy for girls and as someone with a name that was super popular when I was born I didn't want my daughter to be one of 10 Aubrey's in her class, but it really doesn't seem to be all that popular in this area. I've also seen them say to just go with Audrey or Audra and I like both of those, but they really don't work with our last name. I thought through all of it and after a while she just became Aubrey. I love it, and it's her, but I am a little self conscious when I tell people.
Her middle name is Madeleine so I get points for using the proper French spelling
I think its a sweet girl name. That name board would have a hay day with mine and my 4 siblings names. Likely chew me right up! Not only spelt different but we combined names too! Yikes

I also like the name Aubrey. I knew one growing up and our friends have a girl named Aubrey. Those who hated it don't know what they're talking about!
Gonna look at that breastfeeding one. I'll probably get heated cause I'm pretty passionate about our rights to BF in public. I use a cover, but only because I'd feel judged if I didn't.

Just finished all 12 pages of the BFing drama. I am so mad. I really want to comment on it but I feel bad reigniting the thread that needed to die! So I'll gif here instead.

Totally agree @katsmewsings@usernameedit , I always BF without a cover just because I like seeing DD and making sure she has a good latch. And also I think the covers make people look way more than not using a cover. So far no one has ever said anything to me in 15months of BFing DD1 and 4 months with DD2.

I'm so glad almost everyone on that board was sticking up for NIP. That made me feel a lot better. It's people like that OP that make me nervous to NIP... I do it now but still with a cover, I wish I were comfortable to do it without
I wish I didn't have to pump since Dude never got the hang of nursing. That OP sickened me when she said the posters wished an m/c on her because someone said they hoped her kid liked cluster feeding and comfort sucking. What a piece.
I'm way too scared, couldn't bring myself to open page 2 of the creepy tread. Why did I have to read this when DH is out of town, really don't want to be alone now!
