Baby name, I need help

in October 2014 Moms
I am due in three weeks 4 days and me and my DH are completely stuck on two names, Dominic and Maximus, I want to know what you ladies think about them.

    No for Maximus; yes for Dominic. Max would be okay but I just don't like Maximus.

    I named my son Dominic so I'm bias but if you like Max you could do Maxim! That's what my sis did because she loved Max but not the long versions.

    We thought we were having a boy at first and took a trip to the Dominican Republic for our babymoon and met the sweetest man named Dominic who joked and said "you should name your baby after me!" Me and hubby both looked at each other and immediately knew that it was perfect! :x Turns out though, we're having a beautiful baby girl lol so I hope you name him Dominic!!

    Maxwell is cute or Max by itself...

    Dominic is okay. But I do like Max better than Dom as a nickname. FWIW

    Thanks ladies, your right with Maximus when people ask me what the name is they are rude sometimes and say max is a dogs name, or joke and say gludious Maximus

    I like Max too--when I mentioned it to my mom she said she knew 5 dogs named Max. Maxwell is a great name though.

    I prefer Dominic, but I think Dom and Max are both equally cute nicknames... so it'd depend on if you'd be using those as NNs or not.

    Dominic. Maximus was my grandma's cats name. I really like the name Dominic/Dom tho anyways.

    Maxwell was our first choice for a boy. (Actually DH liked Maximilian but I vetoed it). I adore the NN Max. We're having a girl so no Max this time!

    I actually like Maximus but I agree with PPs that Dominic is the better option.
