This is a check-in for those who are doing IVF/IVM or FET with an ER/ET scheduled for September. If you are interested in joining, please fill us in on your cycle below.  Please include what cycle number this is for you, where you are in the process, when you expect to start stims, and when you're planning on retrieval and transfer.  (Also, please update us along the way!)

Good morning everyone!!  We are at 55 Sweet Peas and @Justone13 and I have our work cut out for us.  I think we have everyone to moved to where they should be but please double check and let us know if we don't have you in the right place.  

AFM:  Nothing new... I am still trucking along on my BCPs for 6 more days.  I am hoping to start my stims about 9/17 assuming my body cooperates.  

QOTD:  My grandma made me who I am.  My mom and I never had a great relationship.  My grandma (I call her Yiayia, which is grandma in Greek) pretty much raised me.  She has taught me old school values that I greatly appreciate.  Recently I found out that she had some of the same problems that I have had, such as the huge cyst and loss of an ovary.

MeatandBandP  I am so sorry for your loss. Big big hugs. I hope the next FET will be the one for you.

 

AFM, things are not going well. I had a call yesterday with the RE because I had only two follicles in the mature territory and two smaller ones. We had a good talk about whether to cancel the cycle (convert to IUI) or move on to ER. She is in favour of carrying on to give me clarity about what's happening with my eggs and perhaps "closure" if it turns out my eggs are crap and don't turn into embryos as expected - at least then I'd know. Anyway, I've been a hot mess for the past day. However, at today's ultrasound, we saw several more small follicles compared to yesterday. I'll speak to the RE today about whether they have any chance of catching up in time (I'm on Day 7). Please keep your fingers crossed for me.

@MeatandBandP - I am sorry for your loss!!

I finally triggered last night (trigger + follistim dose) and have ER tomorrow at 6:30am! I have 5 larger follicles (17-19mm) and 2 (13mm) that are a little behind, so at most, I think we are looking at 7 follicles. I am hoping, even though I dont have a ton of follicles that we get a couple of good eggs

Hey sweet peas! I got 17 eggs from my ER yesterday. They were going to do 3 with ICSI, just incase, and all 3 fertilized. Out remaining 14, 9 fertilized. So we have 12 embies! Ah! They are planning on a 5dt for Tuesday - which I won't get another update on them until that day. Seems like forever away!

AFM- I just got back from monitoring and my lining is 8.4! This is huge for me since the thickest it ever got with all 6 IUIs was 6.8. Waiting on bloodwork and the RE to call (I am monitored locally and their office is 2 hours ish away). Cautiously optimistic one week from today I will be PUPO!!

QOTD- my mom. She is an amazingly strong, caring and overall rock star of a woman.

AFM: Nothing new just patiently waiting. Got my big box of meds a few days ago so I am ready to go!!

QOTD: My mom and grandma. They are both very independent women. I was always taught to work to support myself and never depend on a man for anything (including plumbing which I'm very good at now). Both of them went through fertility issues.. My gma adopted my mom and it took 4 years for my mom to conceive me. They understand exactly what I'm going through and are great supports. I adore them.

Praying this is my last "prepping" check in, with BW/US on Tuesday, and I can move up to stimming! [-O<

AFM, today is my last bcp! I'm on day 4 of Lupron, go in for ultrasound/BW on Thursday and hopefully will be starting stims on Friday! Wow, things are going fast!

QOTD: My Mom. She is strong, independent, caring and supportive. I don't know where or who I would be without her.

GL to everyone who is doing ER in the next few days!  Lots of people are going to be PUPO next week

AFM, I am winding down on lupron, last dose is sunday (thank God).  Still trucking along with my estrogen shots and I start progesterone tonight.  I'm doing .5ml tonight and then 1 ml for all of the others.  Anyone else do that?  I always did 1 ml straight through before.  ET is next thursday and I'm excited/anxious.

QOTD:  hard to choose just one person who has impacted who I am.  I have taken a lot from several people over the years.  Ultimately though, I have great parents so I'll give them the credit for making me who I am and instilling good values in me from a young age.

@kittenmittens9‌ - thanks! I just got the call and my blood estrogen is 137 and it needs to be at least 300. I'll start vaginal estrogen tonight and hope Wednesdays blood work is where I need to be. If not, they will cancel me.

@MeatandBandP - I am so sorry for your loss. ((hugs))

AFM - I am still on estrace and vivelle.  I haven't been feeling too emotional until today.  On my way to work this morning Miley Cyrus song "It's the Climb" came on and I just started to cry.  It might be my theme song for IF!  Monday I go for my "first date with the vag cam" (LOL @IFinTN)!!  Hoping and praying for a thick lining! 

QOTD - My grandma was the most amazing woman!  She raised me almost all of my life. She taught me so many thing!  I was blessed to eat dinner with her almost every Sunday after I moved out of the house.  I wish she could be here now to give me advice, but I know she is in a better place!

Yikes!!

I just got the call - I will be triggering tonight for my ER on Sunday. I had 14 follicles this morning all ready to go. (Not bad for day 9 of stims!) I am nervous and excited. They will be going in for the deep freeze to hopefully be used in about 3-4 months!

AFM, have done 7 days of stimming and have 5 growing good sized follicles with a lot of other small ones. They said there is still time for some of the small ones to catch up so praying that happens. 2 days ago I only had 1 growing and the rest were small. Continuing stimming and I go back on Monday for another u/s and bw. ER will probably be Wednesday or Thursday... I hope I have an ER buddy out of this big group.

Here we go finally!!!! It's only been 1 day shy of 4 months from my ER on 6-12.

My lining didn't get any fluffier it's now 11mm down from 12 on Tuesday so were going ahead with the transfer next Thursday on 9-11 (what a day). I took my last lupron today, YEAH and starting PIO in the morning.


QOTW: definitely my mom, she was the strongest person I've ever known. She was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer at age 46, they gave her a few months to live. Not only did she live for 2 more years, she worked the whole time up until the last couple of months. She only took off for Chemo on Friday and back to work on Monday. She spent her whole life raising my brother and I and when my dad left her my senior yr in high school she worked 3 jobs trying to finish raising me and sending me to college. When I graduated from college she couldn't afford a gift for me so she took all her jewelry and had me a diamond necklace made with her jewelry and paid for it by selling her other stuff. If it wasn't for her showing me how strong someone could be when faced with problems I would have never made it this far.

ETA: I don't think I'm on the list, if you don't mind adding me I know it's confusing, lots of ppl.

I'm still on track for a transfer next Wednesday. At my ultrasound on Tuesday, my lining was triple layer and 8.2mm. It was a little touch and go for a minute, but we're good to go! I took my last shot of Lupron last night (thank you God) and I start Endometrin, Doxy, and Dex tonight. PIO starts tomorrow morning. 

QOTD: It's hard for me to nail it down to just one person. I owe a lot to my parents, obviously, particularly my mother, who sacrificed a lot for me. But I feel like my husband also shaped who I am today, too. We met 12 years ago, and he's been such a cheerleader for me, and he's always pushing me to be better and go farther.

i'm waiting for a call from my doctors office..had my baseline u/s and bloods done this morning. hoping that everything is a go and i will start stimming on sunday. 

now that i'm so close to starting, i'm getting REALLY nervous. my biggest hang up is the retrieval. i've been TTC for over 4 years and have taken a long time to come to this decision of moving onto IVF, but now i'm second guessing myself. has this happened to anyone else?? i have to try IVF or else i know i will regret it...but my nerves are getting to me

@buttmonkey34 it looks like we will have similar timing, i'm hoping to start stimming sunday. are you doing a minimal stimulation protocol? i am - supposed to start with 150iu bravelle.

@Pintobean39‌ I got teary reading your story about your mom. What a beautiful soul.

As for me, had another monitoring appointment today- everything is on track and my RE thinks Tuesday is most likely going to be retrieval day. She said we might give or take a day, but she's petty sure Tuesday.

Qotd: there are lots of people in my family who shaped me-- i know I'm being lame but I can't pick just one! Some family members taught me through their mistakes, and some taught me how I want to be. I am really grateful for my mom's ex husband (my official step dad for 7 years, still consider him a second dad today!) he made a lot of things possible for me that I would have thought would be out of reach.

I get nervous for egg retrieval every day! I force myself to clam down about it though. It's always uneasy to go in for surgery, but it will be worth it! Stay the course

Hey guys, I just got a call from my nurse (actually, my nurse is off today so a different nurse) who said estrogen was good, but progesterone was a little high. But we're keeping my dosing the same, and they want me in on sunday for more monitoring. Basically, the same day I would have gone in anyway..

Is progesterone being "a little high" an issue? I briefly read it affects implantation

@emmuffy‌ I am in a similar situation and also decided to move forward. I triggered with just 2 at 17-20mm and 2 at 12mm. They retrieved 3 today. Only need one day 5 blast, right? Good luck to you!

I had my ER this morning. They got three eggs. Waiting now for the fert report tomorrow morning and praying for one beautiful blast for my transfer next Wednesday.

I'm still on Lupron. My baseline ultrasound was yesterday and everything is looking good! My RE is confident that we are going to have a large amount of eggs to retrieve! She said that my AMH levels are at 16, which apparently is really high. I start Follistim on Tuesday, 9/9. 

QOTD: My grandfather helped make me who I am today. He was always the one that could make anyone smile and laugh. Even though he is no longer with us, I can still look back on good memories and smile. I really think his light-heartedness rubbed off on me just a little bit. It helps me get through these rough patches in life.

Ok I'm back in the game.  After big cyst and 2 weeks of spotting and ovulating on birth control, I stopped Lupron on Tuesday and got a period Thursday (weird weird weird cycle).  So I went in today, the cyst is almost gone and my estrogen fell to 30s.  So I'm back on to start stims tonight, finally.  She gave me the option to go back on birth control for another 3 weeks then stim, I opted to start the stims instead.  The birth control did something really funky to me and I don't want to take the chance it will happen again.  So to stims I go.  Other good news, my follicle count was 20.  

So this is all proof that bad news can turn to good in just a few days time.  The timing is going to be potentially a problem for my job, but at this point I don't even care.  Someone will have to cover me for a day perhaps.  Too bad for them.

CMH25  thank you so much for your reply and I have everything crossed for a good fert report for you. I am feeling better and more optimistic since talking to the nurse this afternoon.
