SS We own a house that we rent out right now because we have been living in another city for a couple of years, and we rent in the other city while we are there. I can't wait to move back to my house!
Bought our home in 2011. Rented a condo the a year before that. Our house has probably increased in value by $100K since we bought it so I guess it was a good idea, but I still wonder if we should have rented longer.
We bought our house in 2011 (just had our three year home owner anniversary last week lol) Before that we rented a two bedroom apartment in a totally different part of the state. We lived there for about 5 years together. I loved that apartment
We built/bought our home in 2010, and then got engaged a few weeks later. My H still owes the home that he bought before then - but we are currently in the process of selling it.
Bought a town home in Naperville, IL in 2007 which is now a rental property, we bought our current home (in Florida) in 2011 when Bradley was all of 3 months old
Bought our home in June 2012, will be here until April 2018 which is when the Navy will send is elsewhere. We bought this house knowing it wouldn't be our forever home but with every intention of making it an income property. We plan on renting homes for the rest of my hubby's navy career, once he retires we will be building our forever home in GA .
We bought a two family, our first home in 2009. We bought our forever home in 2012. You have to stay in a house three years to keep the first time home buyers tax credit we kept the two family and rented it to two tenants until 2 months ago.
We own, and rent. We own our home in Texas, and rent the house we are living in.
Eta: we bought in 2009 too. Our home is still up for sale in Texas! We will buy or built our retirement home ina few years. We've only got 8 years left before he retires. SCARY!
Bought the first place in 1997, it's rented out. Bought the current place in 2007. In the process of buying another place, and will rent this one out once we are moved into that one.
We rent a house my parents own, so I chose live with family and pay rent. We pay a small amount of rent each month, plus the taxes, utliities, and maintenance.
@CL8badB The house is coming along, probably another month until we get to move in. We're good, trying to work out our new commutes and maybe switch daycares. Thank you so much for asking!
We bought in 2009 too! It was a great house and we would probably still be there, but our dream property came on the market this past fall and we couldn't pass up the opportunity to move out to our oasis on the river. The plan was for this to be our forever home but now DH is looking at a career move that will take us to a different part of the province so we may be moving again...
