Woohoo hump day! But I work through Saturday so I still have forevverrr.

Alter ego: don't know the name, but I would be this super bad ass "I don't give a eff" girl. I try hard to be that now but my best and worst trait is that I feel way too much for other people. I give the benefit of the doubt when I shouldn't and I don't like upsetting people so I watch what I say more than I should. If I am being taken advantage of I step up but I let a lot of small but significant stuff get by that I shouldn't. With so much going on with my world (divorces for both my guy and I, his beautiful daughter, his certifiable ex, having moved across the country, new baby and my first) I get more concerned about how people will take all of that than to just live it openly and loudly and show the joy that I really feel. So yeah... Id just not care anymore.

I'm checking in now while my shower is warming up. Today looks crazy for out family. I have to work from 8-10, pick up some quick groceries and then bring DS to play group at Chuck E Cheese, hope he takes a nap after and then bring him to open gym time at Gymboree. DH has OT tonight from third shift into his regular shift tomorrow morning, I'm trying to keep DS out of the house so DH can have some quiet time to sleep.

I got a very interesting call from a recruiter yesterday and I can't stop thinking about it. It can't hurt to go meet with the company, right? If they really want me and it's a good fit, they'll work with my pregnancy, and if nothing else, maybe it's a little bit of leverage going into my annual review next month? Should I be talking myself out of this?

And alter ego = Donatella. She's a stone cold bitch who wears black leather cat suits and seduces men with just a look, but never acts on it.

My AW moment - our Harmony results are back and we are very low risk for everything and we're team PINK!  Since I got the call DH's boss helped me stuff 15 pink mylar balloons in DH's truck.  The boss just had twin girls three months ago so when DH first saw it he said, "Nick - did you stuff all your balloons in my car?"  It was funny.  Then he got it.  He is so excited he gets "his Ryan" (he's wanted to name a baby girl Ryan since high school).

My husband and I dragged ourselves out of bed this morning to work out. Add in a 30-minute walk to work and I've got a great start to the day. Also, I'm kind of rocking a Greek goddess look with my dress and hairdo and feel absolutely gorgeous. Why, yes, I'm modest.

My alter ego would be a Mexican Elizabeth Jennings. Trained in the arts of kicking ass, great sex, and high-level espionage. Except I'm spying on Canada to get their secrets to raising awesome hockey players. (Is that ridiculous enough for a Wednesday?)

It's a beautiful day here and the second day of lobster season.  I'll be scoping out where to get some when my mom is here (I usually like to buy from a fisherman and cook at home, but this early in the season, it can be difficult to get them that way).

I'm also trying not to start a fight with DH and waiting for my bike to get done so I can get it and do a little grocery shopping.  We need fruits and veggies.

I'm so glad everyone is having a better day so far! Congrats, @Hernsy‌. GL, @jaztastic‌. Hoping to hear good news today, @bhjones1980‌. You and mom get lots of rest though. You deserve it after such a rough night.

I finally got DH to agree to go out and look at baby stuff with me. The only reason he agreed is because I told him we needed to choose between a double stroller or a sit and stand. Hopefully he gets into it enough that we get a chance to look at cribs, too. He doesn't want to do anything until we know the sex but it won't exactly affect what colors I choose.

My alter ego? That's a tough question. I would probably go with my second career choice so is be a CIA counter intelligence agent with a sweet name like Wendy or Julie just to be misleading.

I once worked with a man named Jammin Breeze lastname. He found out he was adopted from a Rastafarian family so changed his name to something he thought would be more fitting.

We had our A/S yesterday and found out we're having a GIRL!  So excited!  The tech said everything looks perfect and she's growing right on track.  So cool to get to see the 4 chambers of the heart, hemispheres of the brain, etc.  The tech also recorded the whole thing and sent us home with a DVD so we can show it to our families which I'm really excited about

DS has been insistent that he's having a baby sister, not a brother, for a few weeks now.  The tech said little kids are surprisingly accurate in their predictions - who knew?!?

So all is well... Dolce HB was great at 153. The doctor finally brought up my weight. (I hav a coop office of 6 OBGYNs). Doc said they were waiting until my 2nd tri to say something because 1st tri is hard on a lot of women and the last thing we should be doing is worrying about weight gain. Makes total sense to me... then she went on to say that I have balanced out well in comparison to my start and previous weights and Im right on target for where they would like me to be. So in all today went well.

Tomeka Darling is my alter ego. She is me but a lot more snarky and direct. But is also the life of the party.

@hernsy Congrats on the girl!! We are having a girl too, and a coworker's wife sent all their little girl's unborn bows and head bands. Their daughter just wouldn't wear them. Girls are so fun! 

My alter ego?? I have no idea. Maybe someone who is productive and likes to clean the house. I will name her Olga.

My baby is doing a trial run in the preschool room at daycare today. Somebody hold me  :-S My baby boy is growing up too fast!

@ChickenOnSunday - that's a cute idea!  If it helps, the women I work with were applying some serious peer pressure for me to tell him ASAP b/c they were impatient to find out about "their baby".  Also, we did IVF and DH wasn't here for the embryo transfer and when I found out that I was pregnant so he found out about that via text.  I wanted at least one thing to be a happy story for him.

My alter ego - I think her name is Sasha and she travels the world as a upscale hotel and spa critic getting to stay and eat for free.  This would also include their ability to accommodate children so I can travel with my baby.  They have to know how to have amenities for rich and famous people's kids right?!?

First off, I barely ever participate in the randoms daily threads because the amount of posts are so overwhelming!!! But I want to get to know everyone better so I am going to make a better effort of jumping in in the morning.

We had our elective ultrasound this morning and are team PINK again!! Ella sat there so well behaved saying "baby in mama's tummy" for a full 15 minutes. It.was.adorable. I am super stoked for her to have a sister.

I *wish* my alter ego was Judge Judy. I love her so much but could never say everything like she does because the Canadian in me is worried about being mean.

I also just want to say how amazing this community has been for me. I'm the first of my friends and family (of my generation) to have a child. I'm so excited, but that means I don't really have any mommy/pregnant friends. It's been so awesome to get to know all of you & travel on this journey together. Thank you for being so great!

I know what you mean, when I made my first post on 3T I was swallowed with support and advice.

@Izzy0927 It can't hurt at all to hear more about the job. I took a new job when I was 20 weeks pregnant with our first daughter. I had the recruiter tell them up front that I was pregnant and they were fine with it, hired me, and were very accommodating for the time I needed off for appointments and post delivery.

This happened at our house last night. We were outside in the driveway, heard a noise, looked over, and there goes this huge branch from the tree. The scary part is B and DH were just standing there picking weeds about 10 minutes earlier.

Sorry this will be a post and run, but I'm stupidly busy at work right now and haven't been able to post much. I guess they don't understand that they're cutting in to my very important bumping time.

We did our registry this weekend!  DH even looked at bedding and all with me.  I didn't plan to find it at BBB, but surprisingly I found something I really like there!  We had a lot of fun, I was surprised DH enjoyed it so much.  He's soooo not a shopper.
