Helping a spouse deal with TTC?

How do you guys help your husbands/ SO deal with the disappointment of not getting pregnant from month to month. I told him it could take up to a year for a healthy couple but it is really starting to bother him.

My DH and I took the time to get everything in order when we realized we would be ttc for awhile. We went on a cruise, both got our dream jobs, moved to a new city, bought a bigger house, and have saved as much as possible for our future little one. We decided that we would take advantage of the extra time to save and enjoy it being just the 2 of us. Maybe if you put it in that light it'll make the wait a little easier.

We just support each other here. Going on two years and having tons of doc apt and then those couple of months you think you finally got it just to be let down. It sucks. But we try to do what ever we can to help each other. My husband took me to get a massage to help me feel better and I took him out to the range for skeet shooting. Just make sure to keep you two happy. The rest will fall into place. The more you support each other the better you two will feel as a couple

I don't think there is any fool proof way to make someone feel better, otherwise I would have used it on myself by now! Lots of love, support and listening to his feelings is all that you can do. Also, do fun things together to o distract yourself.

How long have you been TTC? You mention it could take up to a year, which leads me to believe you haven't been trying that long. If you are under 35, don't have a DX or have been trying less than a year I would try the TTGP board.

Thanks, yeah I prob am. Sorry, we are quickly approaching the one year mark. We are at 11 months now. Just wondering what you ladies do to help your husband. It's tough to deal with my stress alone but seeing how much it is affecting him lately is tough.
