So I'm having a bit of a tough day and could use a thread full of random stuff to entertain me.

People are sick everywhere. I have a legitimate fear of germs and vomit that is ridiculius. I am working on it with my therapist but the anxiety is so exhausting. I think DD has another ear infection but the doctor at the clinic couldn't tell because her ears are too waxy. Awesome.

And also today I found out that a guy who lives on our street less than a block away got arrested for all of these charges for sexual acts with young boys and child pornography and things of that nature. It is really bothering me. We are planning on moving within a couple of years anyway but this is making me want to leave immediately.

So what is everyone else up to this weekend?

N is doing everything he can to get in minor trouble for attention. L is permanently attached to my boobs today, so I am having a hard time giving N good attention. Craaaaap.

I have been a cleaning machine the last two days! Woke up both mornings and have washed and dried and put away seven loads of laundry! I vacuumed the whole house, swept and mopped my kitchen and all dishes hVe been washed and put away. My brain is so happy

And m just ate half a quart of strawberries. And he sat in the shopping cart seat (I almost always wear him) and ate a WHOLE banana while we shopped. I can't take how sweet and awesome this baby is

I'm so jealous Meesh! I had so many cleaning plans this weekend and thought I would get a lot done since DH is home for 3 days but that hasn't happened lol

I just remove the stem. And if it's a huge strawberry, he gets the whole thing. If they're mediumish I cut them in half because he will put the whole thing in his mouth. Sounds backwards-but he gobbles them up so long as they're room temperature

DH is throwing balls with N in the living room. Really?! I told him he's it allowed to yell at N when he throws a golf ball through a window. Now DH is trying to insist that he's teaching him to only throw the soft balls.

@AFwifelife‌ I like prickly pair syrup. Just skin them, purée, strain out the chunks and simmer with some sugar untill you get to a good syrup. Sooo yummy on pancakes!

C spent all vacation in sposies and only one minor poopsplosion.

@unaveragejane‌ we have spent so long cheering and clapping at him for throwing balls that now I realize that he has gotten too good at it and we need to teach him to only throw outside.

Oh my god. I've seen that one through The. Badass breast feeder on FB. I couldn't even finish it. If you don't realize your NEWBORN needs to be fed every two hours because their stomachs are as tiny as marbles...you should not have children!! And that's directed at the idiots in the article

People are so hellbent on making a tiny new baby work to their schedule and way of life-guess what? It's the other way around

Why didn't those parents just mix some cereal in the bottle? Then they could put the critter is his crib at 7pm and go back to get him at 7am. A little crying will help the babe sleep harder, right?

My sil is a very good example-she did CIO with her three month old and left him there all night and considered it "SingTTN". And I refuse to say it's sstn because that's so unrealistic. She needed sleep to go back to work

I'm not unsympathetic to being tired-but a baby is the life you chose. Leaving him to cry at 12 weeks old because you're tired, all night, is insane and unloving/uncaring whatever you wann call it

My sister "liked" this article on fb.  She's pregnant.    I did the passive-aggressive approach, and shared it, stating how bad this advice is.  And its on a Fox news site.  That's crazy. 


And crockpot tikka masala sounds amazing.

Such a crappy weekend for us too! DD has had a rough couple days. First she fell off the bed yesterday. Furious at DH at the time, but things happen and she was fine. Then today we decided to go hike/chanterelle hunting...bad idea. I'm behind DH when I hear a snap and LO screaming, finally DH yells that a bee stung her just in time to feel my first sting. I yell at DH to run and we frantically run through the woods, all while I'm being swarmed and stung. I was SO scared and frantic about DD Scary and FML now that I'm covered in bee stings, but LO is ok thankfully. She only had the one sting on her earlobe and DH swatted it right when it started, thank goodness she had no reaction! And DH was unscathed, of course.

Omg...worst night's sleep in a while. the ILs are here so we had to bring our bulldog upstairs because she's a smotherer if you sleep with her. So our bed was me, mh, M and bulldog. I was awake almost all night worried I was going to fall onto the floor. Oy

And then this morning BM more practically says- it could be Lyme. Ugh I hate that possibility but now it's freaking me out. We did go for a short hike on Friday and no one else around is sick.

I was listening to a really interesting discussion on NPR the other day (maybe last week?) about the overprescribing of antibiotics and how people are not able to develop healthy gut flora. 

It was extremely interesting.  A statistic that was pointed out was something like…children under five are, on average, prescribed antibiotics like 10 times for various reasons. Thus provoking the rest of the discussion

I finally got around to watching Good Will Hunting a few weeks ago. Because I was feeling sad about Robin Williams.

Last week I watched the second installation of The Hobbit. It's got beautiful special effects, and I like a lot of the actors in it, but for some reason I just can't figure out why I'm supposed to care. I think I was 8 when I read the novel and liked it well enough. But something about this blockbuster version just fails to capture my imagination. I found it really easy to pause watching the movie so I could go do something else. I think it took me almost a full week to watch it.
