TTC After a Loss

Benched for a little bit

I saw my RE today. I started cramping last night and knew it was too early for a period after the d&c (less than 2 weeks), and wasn't sure what was going on. She did an US and turned out there was just a little blood/clot still left in there. She said it was fine and would pass on its own. But, she did say she thinks it's time to do something about the cysts that have been on my ovary's from the beginning. They haven't grown or changed in a year and she said they are most likely harmless but could be causing my difficulty in ovulating. I'll be going in to have them removed in a few weeks.
We planned to do IUI again once my period returned but we will wait until this is is all resolved. Little dissapointed but hopeful that this will help!

Re: Benched for a little bit

  • I'm sorry you're being benched for longer than anticipated. Are you having surgery to remove the cysts or an in office procedure? I had to have laparoscopic surgery a couple of years back to remove a cyst. If that's the route you are going I would be happy to give you some insight on how that goes. Feel free to PM me.

  • Thanks everyone. I am very grateful for my RE. She has been great and we are lucky to have found her. She knows how anxious I am to try again so is doing the surgery pretty soon so I won't have to wait too much longer. I'm definitely feeling positive about this decision.
  • So sorry you're benched- hope it's resolved soon!
