I'm having awful morning sickness that's ofcourse all day long ( I'm also a hairstylist who can't stop working and throwing up any ideas to soothe this ?! I've tried zofran and multi natural things nothing works I'm desperate
That's rough! I had m/s with both pregnancies, although #2 was worse. My best advise is to try to munch on dry carbs throughout the day like crackers, etc. Don't let your stomach get too empty. Drink water, or gatorade if you continue to throw up, to stay hydrated. Some have said that drinking your liquids at a separate time as eating help limit the vomiting. Good luck.
I know this sounds stupid but I sucked on jolly ranchers all day and it took the edge off so I didn't throw up. I'm a teacher so I also couldn't have thrown up at just any time. Sour candy like sour patch kids helped too but I couldn't be reaching into a bag of them all day either.
thank you guys these are great suggestions to try this is so miserable and I wanna do is be happy I found out I was pregnant please bring on 2nd trimester !
Motion sickness and motion sickness bracelets helped a coworker. I never actually threw up, but crackers helped with nausea. Plain crackers. No peanut butter or anything. Good luck!!
Ms was worse w my second also. Eating carbs was what really helped me the most, I actually also sucked on jolly ranchers but only the green ones helped-weird right? Also, same principal as the jolly ranchers but preggie pops helped-but only certain flavors. Nothing helped 100 percent until I got to the second trimester tho.
Lots of zofran and hard candies (jolly ranchers, starlight mints, etc) helped me be able to work/live during my first trimester, but to be honest, they didn't keep me from being miserable.
I also took an antacid every morning and made sure to be constantly eating/drinking something (this pregnancy it was saltines that helped, last pregnancy it was heavily iced, partially flat root beer).
All I can say is that you will not feel like this forever and that it is worth it in the end. That mantra really helped me.
For me the more hydrated I stayed the better. I also allowed for myself to have a slower "wake-up". I would set my alarm clock to go off any extra 15 minutes before I had to be up to just sip on a bottle of water and eat a few cheerios that I kept in a tupperware container on my nightstand. Then, like other posters, I would suck on life savers or lemon heads all day long. I also would drink alot of water with either fruit or lemon in it. It helped a ton. Feel better and hope this passes soon for you.
