@meladoriestar -I love your job. that is what I wanted to do! I have my degree in psychology - my focus was behaviorism and children. For some reason I decided to go back to school and be an accountant but focus on the population in my volunteer work.
I was just feeling like there were multiples of so many other careers represented on here...where are the librarians?! What type of library do you work in?
Yeah, there were quite a few of us in my last BMB! I wanted to plan a meetup at ALA Academic at a large research intensive institution. How about you?
That would've been awesome! I was the only one on my last BMB too. I'm a public librarian in a semi-urban library. So mainly I entertain the homeless and babysit peoples' unattended children. ;-)
I'm an academic librarian at a large institution as well.
HEEEY! Woo there are 3 of us. Librarian solidarity!
Do I count? I'm starting my masters in library science Monday!
I spent 11 years as a high school social studies teacher. I loved every second of being in the classroom with my students, but the politics of teaching disgust me. Too many people who spend no time in a classroom dictate what and how things should be taught. So onwards to a new challenge!
I work as an executive administrator for the largest real estate company in my city. I work directly with the broker and our general manager and supervise the hiring of new staff members as well as putting policies in place and creating systems for the office.
I love my job, but my dream job would be labor and delivery nurse. If I ever decide it's time for a career change, I will pursue that dream!

I just got my real estate license I'm so excited to get started.
I'm currently a restaurant GM. Dh and I owned our own restaurant before this I'm ready for something different once baby comes along.
