This is the thread I needed.

WTF to gaining 20lbs in the past 3 months. Obviously the baby is doing a lot of growing, but not 20lbs worth. I haven't been eating the best so I know it's my own fault. Just still hard to see that number on the scale and know I still have 2 months to go.

@pnwlover12 my body did the SAME SHIT labor buddy! I gained nothing forever, then BOOM! DH hid my scale from me 3 months back. It's probably for the best. I asked my Dr about it and she didn't even know how much I weighed! She had to check my chart, then pretty much told me she didn't give a shit so neither should I. Has your doctor said anything?

Nope, midwife has been super supportive. I just hate it. I can't imagine getting bigger and I know I will. I have no energy to exercise so it's a vicious cycle. I'm just ready for October to be here.

My last ultrasound was yesterday and baby boy is at 5.3 lbs.  Besides the doctor acting like it's the biggest baby he's ever seen the lovely reactions I've received from family and co-workers is making me stabby.  He's not here yet and I'm already all "don't talk about my boy that way bitches!"  Hopefully, I chill out soon.

In the end it seems to be negative but I may ask at my next appt...

WTF self. I am so irrationally angry and annoyed today and I don't know how to get over it. 

I came in to a pile of shit on my desk after being gone for 2 hours at an appointment. Seriously, WTF are these people going to do when I'm out for 3 months? 

And my mom is annoying the piss out of me. I love her, but she came here to help me, not give me another person to take care of. She is supposed to go home tomorrow and at this point I just want her to go so I can be alone and have my house back.

Genetics reports aren't always the easiest to read; some of them can be quite complex.  Unless it was a rather basic test that was looking for a specific genotype/code and just read out positive/negative.  Perhaps try talking to a different nurse (or your OB) and asking whether or not you are a carrier for sickle cell or if you tested positive for the gene rather than "genetic trait" - perhaps that verbiage was confusing her?  

FX she was right with negative!

Thanks. yeah I can understand if it was confusing especially since it is not tested for a lot. I just was stressed when she kept flopping back and forth. Maybe read the results before calling me???
Even the urine culture was difficult for her it seemed.
I hope it is negative too.

WTF lady at the grocery store? 

DS has a high pitched shriek that he lets out whenever he is really happy. Well he did it at the grocery store. I immediately asked him to stop and he let out another couple of fast ones and then I got serious and he stopped. Anyway, about a minute after I'd already gotten him to quiet down, some lady came up to me and asked me if I could please control my child. 

I was pissed. I just responded that "I am, but little children are really hard to control." She didn't like my response and said "well, he's really loud" and I just responded, "I know" in a sarcastic tone.

I know I probably should've apologized but seriously? He'd already stopped and it wasn't like he'd been screaming for a while... it was over the course of a few seconds and then it was over.  She clearly already forgot what is was like to have little kids or never had to deal with them.

That lady has some balls. No, you shouldn't apologize.  You did handle the situation and the old bat just saw joy and had to kill it.

I would have an extraordinarily difficult time apologizing to that woman.  You don't have to apologize for your son's happy squeals.  I cannot believe she asked you to "control your child" - WTF does she say when she sees a child actually throwing a tantrum?!?!?!   And WTF with her using that verbiage at all?!  It's not like he was running through the aisles throwing things, pushing people, or knocking items on the floor!  

This is making me so angry for you.

I am raging for you. I certainly wouldn't have apologized. I would have been spitting out cuss words and probably would have poked her in the eye with a carrot.

Little kids are just loud. My daughter is going through a phase of "singing" which is just her screaming "LA LA LA LA" at the top of her lungs. I pity the fool that wants to say shit to me about it.

WTF DH. One of his coworker's has a family emergency and DH offered to work an extra 10 days to help out. I am so, so thankful he has that instinct to help others, but I'm sad this means he will be gone until almost the middle of September. I want to see him and spend time with him.

Thanks ladies - she really did piss me off. I tried to control myself but I'm sure she walked away even more mad that I didn't even empathize with her or apologized. Maybe she deserved it for saying anything anyway.

@TicketTuesday - I'm going to have to keep that one in the back of my mind as a ready-comeback. Loved it!

WTF body? I had a call from a client who was a jerk and demanding to talk to the CEO. So mad because I can't get him in to see a doc by the end of the month. Then he had his crazy mother call and it just made it worse. All of a sudden, I find myself in the throws of a panic attack. I've had way worse calls than that, I have no idea where it came from. Shaking, nausea, racing heart, sweating, intense anger. The shaking lasting for over an hour. Booo!

WTF with all the sneezing?! I've never sneezed so much in my life as when pregnant. It doesn't help that I have to position myself so I don't pull something and tighten up my lady bits so I don't pee my pants.
