Hhhhmmm Makes Me Wonder?

After reading the post from the girl who recently posted the Clomid question, then deleted all her posts not sure why. Anyhoo, makes me wonder. I went in for my US on CD 13 and I only had one follie that measured 14.5 mm. I was on Clomid CDs 5-9 (50 mg). I thought it sounded like I didn't respond well but the nurse assured me that at 50 mg it's not uncommon to only have one. I got the LH surge the next day, I'm starting to think my follie wasn't mature enough. I'm just trying to figure out if this should be something of concern to bring up to my RE?

I wonder why they didn't check my Estrogen level then? I'm going to bring this up at my appointment on Monday.

1 is a good response. I did not respond at all at 50mg. I responded with 1-2 at 100mg on one side. After I lost my tube, the RE wanted to ensure I had something in the tubed ovary so he upped it to 150mg and I responded with 2-3, but 1 or 2 of them were on the tubeless side

All my triggers were when they were anywhere between 16-20 in size. Remember, the trigger causes ovulation in 36 hours so they will continue to grow.

This question is really interesting...

My RE did not do any bloodwork for E2 mid-cycle, but then I did not trigger. If I remember correctly, my CD14 or 15 ultrasound measured one 18mm follie, two or three days later I got an OPK+, and the next morning during insemination the ultrasound showed that the follie had just begun to rupture. 

I've also read that Clomid does best with follies around 20-25 at O time, and Femara does best with follies at 25-30 at O time.

In my two iui cycles, my E2 was never checked mid cycle and I never had an us on iui day. I always had 4 follies between 17-20 at my mid cycle us. I triggered the next morning and I had my iui the following day.

@Je11yBean85 I've wondered if I had a touch of this issue since my E2 was 268 for one mature follicle and 238 for two mature follicles. Probably doesn't matter since my cycle will be completely controlled for IVF...

@triathlete23 I only had one treatment cycle so far, so perhaps they only gave me an ultrasound since it had been several days since the last one? Also, I think they may have wanted to make sure that the timing was right, since I was relying on my OPKs and have sometimes O'ed the day of, the day after, or 2 days after the 1st OPK+. I will have to ask them next time. But I really like seeing that image and knowing that the timing was perfect. I think that will really help us in our decision to move forward with IVF if we need to, knowing whether or not the IUIs have perfect timing.

Well it seems I'm not the only one who didn't have E2 either. I definitely going to run this by my RE on Monday.
