I was induced for HBP. It was at least 1.5 weeks between the time I was a "loose 1" and had my induction, so I have no idea how long it would have taken... sorry!
When I read the title of this thread, my first thought was "your doctor is calling you a slut." Joking, of course. It just means you're slightly more than a centimeter but not enough to say 1.5 or 2 cm.
I was a loose 1 for 3 weeks and then I was 2cm the 4th week. By the 5th week I was in labor. Even the afternoon I went into labor I was only a 3. By the time I checked into the hospital, I was a 5. I also had contractions for 32 hours straight though, which may explain my gradual increase all in a day. Hang in there!
