Here's a hot and heavy UO that's sure to ruffle some feathers. I think that if you have ever made the leader board for TB that you need to reevaluate your life. I have no children and haven't worked in 3 months. I check TB many times a day in between my procrastination on chores. I have never come close to making the leader board. How do these people do it week after week and still have time for life? Maybe there is something I'm missing, but if it's based strictly off time and energy spent....yikes.
Based on the number of love tits, I'm in the minority- I freaking love shark week. Every year it freaks me out a little and I can't swim in the ocean for a couple weeks, but I learn so much about sharks that I love it. I love marine animals, I considered studying marine biology at one point. So that may explain my strange love for shark week.
It makes me stabby when people say they "secretly" want LO to come early. I know the last weeks are awful and I am tired of being pregnant too. But, every day this baby bakes is so important right now. This is especially true for FTMs who havd yet to realize their life will never be their ownagain, so suck it up butter cups and get used to it.
The worst is the people on the 3rd Tri board who are actively doing things to put themselves into labor at 37 weeks (pumping etc) because "it's full term."
Is this still accurate? Everything I've read says full term is 39 weeks. 37 weeks is considered early term. I've seen it mentioned a lot of TB and I'm confused.
Nope, I think you're right, which makes it worse.
It may depend on who you ask / where the information is coming from. My OB and NP both recently told me that I'll be considered full term this week (I'll be 37 weeks on Sunday).
My OBs still go by the 37 week definition as well, not that that means they're like forcing her out now or anything, but they definitely emphasized "you're full term now so just be prepared" basically.

Kind of similar here. Doc never marked it as "full term". She did, however, use that at the yardstick to measure when they will no longer attempt to stop labor if I went early.

39 weeks is the new official standard for being considered "full term." It used to be 37 weeks, but now babies born between 37 and 39 weeks are simply considered not preemies, but not technically full term either.
Aahhhh. So many things to comment on! This is what happens when life takes over.
My dr won't do a thing to get a baby out unless absolutely medically necessary until you are past 39w. I agree. I will most likely be induced part way through that 39th week though for gd reasons.
Old people need to get their licenses just like young people lol. My mom is 61 and I question whether she should be driving...
The one that I do not agree on is the 13yo girl. But I think it is fault on many levels. The girl should never have gone into that house, that is parental responsibility to teach her that kind of safety for herself, but charges are a little much. They will have to live with what happened for years to come. The wife, you know she knew what that dirty old man was up to and it really doesn't take long to grab your purse so something seems off there. No matter what, I hope that girl comes through this ok and gets counseling or whatever help she may need to not be scared and have a full productive and happy life.
Soooorrrrryyyy I didn't tag. I know, I know. I just wanted to spit everything out as fast as I could so I could go pee!

COMPLETELY agree with this! There's a huge possibility my baby boy may not get to stay inside of me until 40 weeks. I would give anything to be able to ensure that. Makes me stably when I see people say they want their baby to come early OR when people tell me I won't be making it.

During my first pregnancy, I made comments about DD coming a week or two early and how I wouldn't mind it if she did. She didn't. However, with DS, he came 8 weeks early and I regretted every time I had made that comment. At this point to me, it doesn't matter how uncomfortable I get, it will be more comfortable than coming home from the hospital and leaving my baby in the NICU. I'm so sorry for every mom or dad that has ever had to do that.
I can't stand it when people count their child's age in months after a year. Your kid isn't 18 months, he/she is a year and a half. I'm not 398 months old, I'm 33!! That's like counting how much money you have only in pennies
I will do months until 18 months. There is a huge difference between 12 months and 16 months. I feel like once they are 18 months, one can say "almost two" or two or two and a half. 20 months sounds weird to me. I might just say a year and a half or almost two and that's about it. I think once they hit 2, there is absolutely no need for months. Your 2 year old is not 24 months. He's two.
I pretty much follow clothing sizes. Up to two years, months is fine. Beyond that... No stop.
I totally flame myself... I was in tears earlier feeling so shitty about myself because i was totally having those thoughts about just wanting him to get out, early or not, as well as really thinking about an epidural. Nothing wrong with an epidural at all but it's so far from my natural birth minded self (for myself only) that this was totally me caving in & giving up. I just feel so defeated this pregnancy and pain & emotions took over. Trying to get my shit together & get in the right mindset again.
I see a lot of you get offended when ppl tel you how big you are, totally understandable. I have the opposite issue which can be upsetting. Ppl tell me, omg you're 8 1/2 months? You don't look very big yet? Is baby healthy? You're probably going to have a really small baby. My MIL told me my baby was probably going to be small and sickly.
Ok fuck you. I was just as small with DS and he was 8.5 lbs, 21 3/4 inches and a little beast...so suck it, my baby will be just fine and keep your opinions to yourself. I eat just fine, I'm not trying to "watch my weight" I'm eating like a pig and loving it.

My SIL and cousin were like that, and their sons were big and healthy too. It seems to me that your stomach just holds the baby in tighter. That happened with my first too, and my son was 7 lbs, 5 oz. Nothing to worry about, that's just the way your body is. Other ppl shouldn't worry about it, especially your MIL.
