We are five months pregant with our second child and my company is being bought out so I was laid off with 2 weeks severance. We were all set up for maternity leave with short term disability throught the employer which ended when I was laid off. My husband makes good money so we do not qualify for aid, however we need a bit more money after cutting as much as we can each month. I will be applying for unemployment next week but am concerned about not being able to collect the unemployment for 6-8 weeks during and after I have the baby (c-section). Does anyone know if Minnesota has something like California's temporary state disability coverage that would kick in during my time of not being able or available to work in order to collect the unemployment? Thank You
