Yes, I put shoes on LO already and yeah, I totally love FP Moccs and they are so worth it!

Yes, I put shoes on LO, but heck no, I would never pay that for baby shoes no matter how cute!

My LO is almost 8 weeks old and has only worn socks once and has never worn shoes. It's summer! Socks are for fall and winter IMO :-)
It is so cold in our house with the air conditioning we have to bundle her up  lol. DH likes it cold in here.

  • The only shoes and socks LO wears are gifted by friends. I cant believe how expensive those little shoes and socks are! But then so are her clothes...
  • I rarely spend $60 on my own shoes...so not for baby. The 2 pairs of shoes my peanut has were gifts, but fun to put on when they match the outfit she is wearing :)

  • No shoes until she's learning to walk. She won't wear socks either. Free the toes!
  • Sorry for missing the SS' s! Lol

  • Save the $60 for when you need quality walking shoes. Also, kids feet grow rapidly and they probably wouldn't fit for too long. All coming from someone that does shoes in cooler temps, such as robeez, or comparable brands. They are far from $60, though.

  • I put socks on him if we are going out at night.... or if they match his outfit.

I put shoes on him for the first time today because I realized he was going to outgrow them.

All that said, I don't think I would spend that much on baby shoes. BUT I have spent way too much on a few other outfits for LO (don't ask about his coming home outfit or Christening gown), so I'm not one to judge. If you think they're special and really want to get them, go for it. Just, you know, don't miss a car payment over it!

  • My LO's feet are so skinny right now and shoes won't stay on. So she's pretty much barefoot
  • I'm all for throwing on a cute pair of baby shoes for pictures or special occasions. But I'd never pay that much. $15 maaaaybe.

@chloephoebecali‌ www.freshlypicked.com . Some people argue soft soled shoes are way better for walking. I think maybe it was @StrawberryDreams219‌ said this if I'm mistaken? However not sure if she or whoever said this was for leather soft soled shoes in general. If not these shoes what other soft soled shoes are out there?

Eta I also think that price is outrageous!

  • I've put socks on a few times (usually when out / in ac and his feet were cold. I bought some cheap shoes at old navy and he HATED them (and this kid doesn't hate anything...). I bought a pair of the grey suede fresh picked because I'm a sucker and they are cute and I love buying clothes for my baby boy. I bought a larger size so he will wear them in winter time. I figure I can use them for multiple babies also.

  • No shoes or socks for now. Socks in the winter. And even once she's practice walking , it"s better for them to do that barefoot.

  • Bare feet all the time here.
DD won't be wearing shoes until the is mobile. Socks or bare feet til then. Once she needs shoes we will Robeez.

  • I should probably clarify- we used soft-soled shoes when DD started walking. No need to waste money on shoes until then.
i feel ya. I plan on buying some sort of soft sole when dd walks. Right now shes in socks ( my mom freaks if she doesn't have socks on lol) but my SIL buys these moccs for her son all the time. She has WAY more money than I do obviously lol

  • I'm all for good quality expensive shoes but not for a baby unless she's starting to walk, she only wears socks for now. Back when I was pregnant DH bought LO a pair of Jordans for $55 and I thought he was out of his mind.

  • I'm lucky if socks stay on for 5 minutes, and don't own any shoes for him yet.  I wouldn't spend $60, but don't judge if you wanted to.

  • We just put her in socks on occasion just because the AC can be a bit much in the house. I don't think we even own a pair of shoes for her yet.

  • For my shower a girlfriend gave me "babies first shoe collection" and it was a whole box of tiny shoes and socks. It's hot here but sometimes I throw a pair on her for photo ops before she outgrows them because they are so cute! Shame she will only wear most once and only for a few minutes...

My baby thinks socks are of the devil and refuses to have them on.  I can't imagine what she would do with shoes.
Yes, this. Socks cannot stay on dd's feet. We live in a 1200 square foot apt, and between the distance from her room to the living room, socks just fall off. We have a trail of baby socks. So I'm not going to bother with shoes.

Being with my LO rocks! DD born 6/13/14.

  • DD doesn't like wearing clothes, and I don't enjoy putting them on her. I consider it a major achievement anytime I finish dressing her because she moves around so much. I kind of dread when it cools down and she needs socks, so I'll put off shoes as long as possible. That said, I would spend that much if I really liked the shoes. I looked at their website and they're NMS.

  • No and no.
  • Those ARE pretty cute, though. I don't know why they need to be $60. :(

  • DS wore shoes once. They were a gift from grandma. Based on the look on his face, I don't think he liked them. We do socks.

  • My kids always have flat feet so pedi said no shoes till they walk so their arches aren't negatively impacted by the shoe. However, if I had the money and my kids didn't have flat feet I'd totally indulge in boutique-quality shoes.
