I told them I would accept after I had the ultrasound and everything was A-OK in there... I didn't want to submit my mod paperwork and then find out that we had had a MMC or something.  But I guess it goes through quickly - I sent it in on Saturday, and it was done first thing this morning!

And now to figure out how to abuse my power.

My cousin announced the day after she got the BFP and posted a 4 week u/s (she's high risk). I almost fell over laughing because no one knew how to react since there really isn't anything to see but a tiny dot. I think she's nuts to announce that soon but she's happy so it doesn't matter.

I've been telling family 1 by 1 since I'm 14 weeks now. At DS' a b-day party my aunt asked when I planned on having another kid. Perfect opening, her chin hit the floor when I said February.

one reason i dont want to announce is my furat ultrasound even though it was 8 weeks it looked like a blip. to me therewas nothing to show what anything was. i was completely unbabyish looking.

I think I am now allergic to my face wash. I've been using the same brand for years, but yesterday when I washed my face, it got hot, red, and puffy.
Of course, we were heading out the door to church. This wouldn't happen on a day when I can just sit at home and not see people. So I popped a benadryl and prayed it would help. The redness went down, but then I was super drowsy for the rest of the morning. I actually fell asleep at the table during lunch.

Sitting at my OB's office waiting for my last check up of the first trimester. I walk in and see the CUTEST newborn boy, I am STILL trying to hold back tears. I CANNOT BELIEVE that's going to be me in 6 months!!! Holy F word!!!

I miss Sonic (sonic blasts in particular) my H spoiled me with fast food ice cream when he lived in FL. the worst part is we STILL get lots of commercials for it, there just aren't any within 50 miles - and I'm not at the point where I will drive 50 miles for an ice cream shake.

I used to hate that living in the NE.  There was a sonic commercial every half hour.  At the time i lived in NYC and the closest one was in VA.  WTF.  When they finally opened one in North Jersey there was a 4 hour wait and they had cops directing traffic.  It was so stupid.

We can never be friends, but everyone is entitled to their opinions. No I kid. Um, I only get the spicy chick sandwich, I don't know what the rest of these fools get. But something about the breading is just more perfect than Wendy's (second choice for a spicy chick) and that fucking little pickle. Drool.

Chick-fil-a is only has just the best drive thru chicken nuggets and chicken sandwiches in the world.... How dare you!!!

definitely - for the blast though. I like really thick milkshakes and they do it right. The burgers/food is only generic fast food - good if it is what you are craving, nothing special otherwise. never did the chili cheese dog.

None of these fast food places ring a bell.  Back in 2007, my brother bought a car in Nashville, and we drove it through the US back to BC.  I think we went to Sonic that first day in Tennessee... the only thing that struck me was how disappointed I was that they were serving their drinks in styrofoam cups.  So environmentally unfriendly!!!

Oh, and the fact that a "regular" pop that came with the meal was the size of a 2L bottle... Sheesh, I can barely get through an entire can.  I love the stubby sized cans, but they're way too expensive.

Now I could get behind an A&W burger like nobody else's business.  They have the BEST burgers of any fast food joint... and also the best root-beer.  MmmMMMMMM.

Ultrasound today was wonderful.  The SCH is gone and I am released for exercise and sex!!!  Not to mention the doc said I can have a glass of wine when I want now!  We are officially out as I didn't think we could hold off DH's dad much longer.  I was right.  I texted him after the ultrasound and DH's sister said he had called all the aunts before I got out of the doctor's office.

This is what I did for facebook.  Nothing special or extra creative.  I'll leave that for the baby's room.  So, I just said that this Mardi Gras we are expecting our own "special addition" king cake baby (this is a regional thing), but that we'd let the doctor find it with this hastily pasted picture.

There are always SONIC commericals on the TV and there are none around here. I always want to try it, but have never really seen one. I've also never CFA. They just started coming to So Cal. I love my In-N-Out though!

I listen to the CBC while I'm at work, and I just heard this!  He owned a property on one of the larger Gulf Islands that we can see from our house.  It's weird to imagine that he's gone.

I don't think his career has been very successful lately, and his latest sitcom was pretty bad.  It's amazing how much a failing career can affect your psyche....

Most comedians are depressed.  They're funny for a reason.  They usually use comedy to fill some need in their psyche.  It really hit home for me when I was watching a documentary on John Belushi, and saw Dan Ackroyd in tears, and making a comment about how comedians are usually crying behind their comedic exteriors.  So tragic when people think the only place to go is suicide. 

Except for maybe Monty Python.  I couldn't ever imagine one of those guys being depressed......
