Hi all - wondering if anyone here has been using Alva pockets for over a year, and can comment on how they have held up? My DS's diaper stash is almost entirely handmade, but somehow I was finding that the pattern I used all along isn't fitting him so well now that he's walking and doing other toddler things (climbing, monkey business, etc.) No leak issues, but he was getting bad marks and indentation from snaps, and some redness, maybe from rubbing/friction? I felt bad about this, and am currently too busy to sit and sew a few more diapers from another pattern to see if they'd help - - so I bought a starter pack of Alva pockets off of Amazon for like $45 just to see how they'd work. Apparently they fit him great, and no more marks. I'm expecting DS#2 in December, and I'm wondering if I should go ahead and splurge for more Alvas, since they seem to be working for DS#1 right now. Is there anyone here who can comment on how they've held up through washes for over a year and/or more than one kid? I have a front-loader washer and dryer right now, but if it matters, I am willing to line dry the pocket shells if that means better longevity. Thanks!
