N15 is the best. Just saying...our mod freaking rocks, and our bumpies are the tits! Thanks @absolutelymaybe for being you, and reminding us all how awesome we are. Love you all.
NO. I refuse to be pregnant until 2015. Although I may currently represent an elephant, I am not one.
Lol!! You never know about being pregnant in 2015
If DH has his way, I will be. "I think we should try for #2 next summer."
Wouldn't be awful but definitely not the plan going on in my head!
My DH is the same way. He keeps saying, this time next year when you're pregnant...
Haha. I told DH we can discuss after this one turns one. He's all, "Our asses are old, we need to get on this." Dude. We're not THAT old (I'm 33, he's 34). Calm your dick.

I feel like this is one of those examples where Pinterest has become the devil. OP seemed like she had 900 billion things that she needed to do at her shower and was upset that they couldn't get it all done in time for the 6 (previously 8) hour shower.
What happened to cake and crepe paper? Why does shit have to be on steroids ALL THE TIME?
Not to mention, of the 3 people she had offer to host, she chose the one who couldn't even manage to plan an outfit for her daughter's wedding.

Lol, I have basically been either pregnant or breast feeding for the past 4 years so I feel like I have been in a permanent elephant stage!
Holy fack! When y'all said you wasted 20 minutes with the original thread I thought you meant the WHOLE thread not just the ORIGINAL POST! I almost barfed reading that narcissistic garbage augh! If you haven't read the post, please don't and save yourself the time. It's just ridiculous 8-}
So here's the thing. I've been trying so so hard since reading this last night to find something positive to say about OP, yet, I can't. I can't find one positive thing to say about the entire story. Except I was glad when it ended.
ETA - I can't believe what they've said about the O14 mod. I know her from TTCAL days and she didn't seem that way. I'm surprised.
I don't know her from TTCAL, but from 3T back in the day. I wish I could say I was surprised. I guess I just thought that maybe people change, but...nope.
As for her response, I don't hate, I educate. If a mod makes a post about how redheaded kids are creepy and is roundly flamed for it, then starts a new thread about the subject and is roundly flamed for it there, then tries to take votes on closing the thread (which gets basically no support), and then uses mod powers to demote the thread, I think many would consider that to be abuse of powers.
Or if a mod flames a member as insensitive for stating that she got pregnant from a birth control fail (in a thread titled something like "Describe how you got pregnant in 4 words"), gets roundly criticized for it, and then basically says "Fuck this, I'm out of here for the rest of the night," how would someone categorize that but as a tantrum?
(ETA: there's obviously more, but these are the two quickest examples requiring the fewest words!)
@trisharenee0316 A post about red headed children being creepy? Seriously? WTF is up with that?!
It was on the UO thread, but as we all know, UO doesn't mean you won't get a reaction!
And sorry, it wasn't just that they were creepy, but that they freak her out and look like creepy little serial killers. Of course that went over like a fart in church.
And after reading this entire post, I am embarrassed by how many people do not know what a harpy is. We should start an educational campaign with a Harpy badge for the N14'ers.

Lol! I was too, I thought it was common knowledge!
I'm just sorry I couldn't have participated sooner. I read the OP's post @-) and you all kept me entertained while I was trying to calm my adrenaline. Almost an electrical house fire over here last night, thank goodness we were home!

I would link you all, but it was already made clear to me via PM that *some* are itching to give me a warning. Soooooo...I can't do it. But the thread was something like "Red head discussion" which should have all the relevant posts, if you want to search it.
I found the thread as well, or at least the apology thread spin-off from the OU. The actual topic of the post aside, I'd be pissed off the "You're a lurker. So mind your biz." comment.
Apparently you have to be a part of the "in" crowd over there to be allowed to be offended by something.
Lurking from D14, I'm due early in the month so I'm happy to say that you N14 ladies are pretty awesome. Glad I wasn't due in October because I'm pretty sure I've got a creepy little red headed kid cooking in here

Scary!! I'm glad everything is ok!
Oh my gosh what happened?! Glad everything is ok! @Emnob28 we had just come home and this loud popping started. I thought it was our well - if there's no water pressure it makes this awful sound, so I'm yelling at dh to stop the washing machine. He's yelling at me wondering what I'm doing. We realize it's neither of us when the power starts flashing. He runs to the basement, electrical fireballs going everywhere! Immediately shuts off our breaker box then runs to the outside pole and shuts it down. Thankfully he knows an electrician, called him out. Took about 4hrs but we finally got (safe) power back.
Apparently where the line runs into the house was worn thin, taught and rubbing again the electric box. It finally was too stressed and was almost completely burnt apart.
Sooo scary!

Wow. I've planned my entire shower by myself and I'm incredibly happy with ANYONE who will help me with ANYTHING. My own mother won't even be attending my shower just because she doesn't want to, and I sure don't want it lasting 6 hours. But we N14's know nothing and can't possibly relate.

So I read the O14 OP. (Nearly) the entire thing.
