I found out i am going in the night before my induction in the morning for cervadil. Can I eat at the hospital before I go to bed with the cervadil? Also, after the pitocin is started, will I be able to eat! Or is that I am not allowed to eat after the epideral? In other words, I wonder when I can eat. Or maybe they just keep you on ice chips in case it turns into c-section? Anyone experience this or in the same boat? Thanks, HBP!
Re: Are you allowed if you are induced?
I brought a box of Luna bars last time that I DEVOURED during my hospital stay last time, because I delivered late and the cafeteria was closed. I'm bringing more this time, they were so handy post delivery as I was hungrier than I had been in my entire life!

I didn't care about food, the pain and vomiting took care if that. I was just thirsty. But I couldn't have anything until I was back in my room, (after emergency c-section). And then, I could only have water and broth!!!

I doubt they would have stopped me if I wanted to, but they wouldn't provide solid food any more.
