Mastitis while drying up?

I weaned off of pumping over the last week and a half. I've had no engorgement and minimal leaking and discomfort. I usvent pumped at all in 3 days.

Tonight I feel like crap. Achy , nausea, chills, etc. just like I felt the night before I woke up with mastitis. But, I have no bad breast pain, pluged ducts, or redness. I'll call my doctor if it's worse tomorrow, but has anyone experienced this while drying up? Is it most likely just a virus and unrelated?

I had mastitis while drying up, but I had the whole red boob, clogged duct, leaking, and discomfort going on. It could be mastitis or it could be a virus. I think you should call the doc.in the morning just to be safe.

If you don't have a clogged duct my guess is it's unrelated. I have horrible body aches and a fever for the last couple of days but my boobs are fine.

I would call the doc. I didn't have boob pain before my mastitis kicked into full effect.

Thanks ladies. I woke up a lot better but with a sore throat, so I'm thinking it's unrelated. Hears hoping it's fine tomorrow since I'm teaching a class. I will be glad when the transition is all the way over though
