Hi! My husband and I are hoping to start the embryo adoption process soon. I'll be lurking for the most part and won't really start posting until we are further into the process, but I wanted to give a quick intro in case you see my icon pop up on a "love it."

I'm pretty much right where you are! We have decided to go with NEDC. I've heard really good things about them, and they are close enough that we could drive to the appointments.
I'm in ute test mode right now. I had an ultrasound and an MRI done on a pretty large fibroid I have to try and determine if it can be removed without causing too much damage to my uterus (hoping for hysteroscopy!). They didn't get a good enough look at it with the MRI, so now I'm going for a saline ultrasound at the end of August. My OB is really trying to determine if I'll be a good candidate for EA. She was really positive the last time we talked.
I will eventually have to have my uterus removed (before age 35) and my ovaries removed later due to a genetic disorder I have that predisposes me to certain types of cancer. I have also elected to have a prophylactic double mastectomy (also before age 35), so we are in a bit of a time crunch with EA.
Sorry, that was a lot of info.

Just found out the fibroid is intramural and cannot be removed hysteroscopically. I can't have laparoscopy done either because of the cancer risks. We'll know more after the saline ultrasound, but I'm a little bummed today.
