1st Trimester

Nervous

My last period was on June 1rst. I took my last BC pill the day before. My last pack. We were going to start trying. On June 18th I started to bleed. I just assumed it was my body coming off the pill and regulating. I don't recall any details on how long it was or color. It surely wasn't as long as a period.

In any event I took three pregnancy tests this week and all positive right away. Went to the doc on Thursday and confirmed with Urine test and had blood drawn. I didn't even think to tell the doc about the bleeding two weeks after my period due to excitement and it was right off my honeymoon I totally forgot about it.

Anyways my questions is do you think the bleeding in mid June could have been a miscarriage and these tests are just all positive because of hcg still being present?

I really have no pregnancy symptoms which I know not everyone does... Am I just being paranoid or should I be worried? I don't have an ulta sound for another week and a half and I am not sure I can make it that long! I am typically a worry wart and have lots of anxiety. I usually over think things. Any thoughts or advice?

Thanks!

    Congratulations!

It could have been implantation bleeding. It's totally normal. Google it.

I'm pretty sure it is possible for you to get a positive test after a miscarriage (The tests are pretty sensitive and it takes awhile for some women's hormones to drop back down). But your bleeding would have been at least as much as a period. So, that it was less than what is regular for you might point to implantation bleeding.

Please, someone correct any of this if it is incorrect or misleading.

It's also totally normal to be nervous and concerned at first. It takes time to sink in and a long time to get over the fear if miscarriage. If it happens, you'll find lots of support here. Good luck and well wishes! :-)

  • Hi There!

I haven't had a lot of symptoms either and I am six weeks. It kinda freaks me out too when I look at the message boards. I haven't had any morning sickness and I feel less tired and crampy than I did the first week I found out. I just try to tell myself that everyone is different and we may be "lucky" for the time being. Don't worry, we will both start to feel pregnant in due time.
