Baby Trend Navigator double jogger and Graco SnugRide infant carrier compatibility

Does anyone have any experience in these two being compatible? I read both yes and no answers on older review sites. I was looking for someone with more accurate and recent experience. I have the Graco SungRide 35 travel system but want to upgrade to a double side by side stroller that will accommodate an infant carrier. The new and only side by side Graco double is not compatible with my classic connect carrier and I am not willing to buy their whole new click connect carrier and base system just to fit the stroller. When researching, the BT Navigator was suggested to be compatible by some as well as some of the high end strollers (bumbleride) that are our of our price range. TIA!

Would call/email the manufacturer. Another option: since you have the older snugride base (we had that style 2 years ago) could you get a 2nd hand double stroller?

Like PP said, call Baby Trend and ask. 

Do you want a jogger/all terrain stroller or are you open to other options?

Only Baby Trend seats are compatible with this. I'd look for a different stroller. If the price of the others is a detterent, look second hand, it'll cost about the same as a new Baby Trend for some of the better joggers and they'll hold up better and retain their value.

I sent them a message because nowhere on their website did it specify whether or not other brand infant carriers are compatible.  I guess I can try calling if I don't hear back soon.  Some reviews I have read said that the two brands have pretty similar construction and that my carrier locks into place and clips into the stroller while other reviews just plainly state no they aren't compatible.  Figured I would ask here for current and personal experience.  @gimmietimmies do you know first hand that they wouldn't be compatible?

As for buying a second hand stroller, I would much rather buy used being that I won't be using it for more than a year or two.  That would be most ideal.  The issue is, the only side by side double strollers that I can find that are actually compatible with my carrier are all the high end ones like Bugaboo, BOB, City Mini etc. and the cheapest I can find these in consignment & craigslist is about $300.  That's not in our budget, especially if we had to purchase the carrier attachment.  The Baby Trend Navigator would be most idea for me and my two little ones.

No, it doesn't have to be a jogger but it does need to be a side by side double, not a tandem or stadium seating one.

Keep trying. Every once in a while one pops up for a bit less. Also try for Mountain Buggy, Phil and Teds.

Yes, it's a for sure. Baby Trend did that on purpose. Other seats may seem to fit or click, but since the manual designates Baby Trend car seat in the use and instructions, they haven't designed the stroller to fit other makes. It may not be a big deal, but you run the risk of the seat locking mechanisms getting messed with and not working right (if you did a baseless install in your car then it wouldn't matter), or the seat unclicking and toppling off if it was bumped. I've had this happen in a mall, off brand snap and go, and some dumba$$ that wasn't looking where he was going.
