I work with this HORRIBLE woman. She has said some terrible things about Lucas, the most recent of which was asking me if when Will was born if I would "get over that". But I digress.
We are on this work conference together and all week it has started at 1015. Except today it starts at 830. I'm like 99% sure she doesn't realize it. I fully intend to let her sleep right through it.
#passiveagressive #imbadatconfrontation
please do that. then put laxatives in her coffee or something...because she needs it. stupid whore
I agree with this 1000x!!! What a bitch!! @aragosta I'm sorry she is such an assbag, you should deft add a little extra something special to her coffee.
The above posts about aragosta's coworker just reminded me of a confession I have.
Sometimes the reactions on this board truly confound me. Sometimes I think aw poor girl, and yet the posts are all "we are side eyeing you". Other times, I think, what, that is ridiculous...and then all the posts are sympathetic. And so then I get all confused! I seriously think that I respect a lot of your opinions so when I see a reaction I didn't expect, I get all anxious! Like I missed something important. Why am I so insecure?? #teaminsecure #wanttobefriendswitheveryone
oh and just so there isn't a question, I completely agree with the reactions above (the laxative would be my passive aggressive option :-)).
I don't think "proof read" is wrong. It's not correct, but not wrong, either. The word "proofread" comes from "reading the proof". Proof being the original/non-final copy.

This isn't as much of a confession as it is a funny. My husband is writing a short article for a local women's magazine. He sent me the article so that I can edit it and the subject line of the email was "proof read".
Ahh shit, I guess my FFFC is that I thought it was 2 words too.
Everyone is posting those 5 most beautiful collage pic things. I am hoping no one picks me because I have no idea how to make a collage.
There's an app for that...
Stuck in a box! @txmom13, I am the lone O13 mom with a flip phone. I am rocking it old school
Then you should email/text pics to someone who can do it for you! It's quick and easy with the right tools. You can also go to picmonkey.com and make one for free. I did this one on my app. And I do these monthly pics on pic monkey because I can add the text.
My aunt was in from Colorado this week. She is a baby nurse who goes into people's houses and helps them with breast feeding, baby care, etc. With Noodle losing his sight, I have been cleaning up B's toys as soon as she is done playing with them so Noo doesn't trip on them. I joked with my aunt that I wish B could clean up her own toys. She had been working with B to test her motor skills and mentioned B learned things quickly so we tried it and B now helps me put everything back as soon as I start putting them away. MIND BLOWN! I didn't think babies did that. Underestimating my kid
Impressive. I try to get CJ to put his toys in his bucket and he just knocks the bucket over :-/

i don't think it was a face-palm worthy mistake, though...it's not horribly inaccurate.

I'm guessing you had your work cut out for you.
My H didn't know what passive voice was prior to yesterday. It goes without saying that I used strikethrough and bolded red fonts on almost every sentence. #itwasfun
@TaterTat3 I really do understand the job thing! I feel like with my office closing at the end of Sept it's a now or never moment to change job fields. I don't want to do what I do forever, but I know if I get another job that's the same I'll get stuck in it.
I am seriously contemplating just working up until we close then take unemployment while I look for a job in a different field. But there are several scenarios DH and I are looking at so we shall see what happens. I know the end of September will be here before I know it!

My FI will ask me to proofread things sometimes and I explained to him passive and active voice and I think he was actually having fun because he started finding his own examples ha ha.

I drink more now that I'm a mom. I hardly ever drank before, maybe 1 or 2 drinks a month Ifthat. I didn't really understand the whole moms and wine thing, but now I get it. Oh my gosh, do I get it. God help me, she's only 9mo old. .Lol
A true SAHM has wine everyday except on margarita Monday.
I don't know any nursery rhymes or songs so I've only been singing Christmas tunes to Miles. (And the occasional theme song from a tv show or commercial jingle.)
#IhopehelovesChristmas
#Jinglebellsbatmansmells
I sing the Copacabana ALL THE TIME. But I change the words. I don't even mean to. All of a sudden I just bust out "His name was Hudson, He was a baby…"

yea I keep going back and forth between "well I spent so much time and effort on education, certifications, experience etc in my current field does it really make sense to throw all that away?" and "I'm just not happy"
so yeaaa...hugs! I'm really trying to focus on this as an opportunity for a great change, it's not easy though
@TaterTat3 sorry you're dealing with that. Taking the plunge into changing a field is no joke and is definitely among one of the most stressful things you can go through.
Also, props for sticking with p90! I would fail big time with that
honestly I have to give all the props to DH on this one we were going to start it together the last go-around and I stopped after about a week...he's stuck it out the entire first 90 days and is now on his second go around...he's pushed me to start it again and stick with it, I think my competitive nature is what's keeping me going!
I have a confession, kinda. Way back in the early prego days, I think it was a FFFC, I said how much I missed drinking and going out with my friends for Sunday beach days. I remember being attacked and basically being called an alcoholic by a bunch of bumpies. I think maybe 2 people admitted they missed drinking too while everyone else went on about how I need to get used to my "new life". Well I guess jokes on them since we now have bump drinking parties @dknights413 flat.
Oh I have an actual FFFC! so I still have around 15lbs to lose to get to pre-pregnancy weight, not only that but my belly pooch is making it impossible to find pants that fit right...sooooo I got tired of not having any cute clothes to wear and bought a bunch of pants and now use the pregnancy rubber band trick to wear them...lol I'm not even ashamed!!!
I use BF'ding as my excuse why I haven't started exercising yet. I don't need to lose weight, just maybe tone up a bit. Oh well, IDGAF.
DS was a super crab last night - I think we're going through another GS because he wanted to be held all night long. ugh.
I let my kid play with shoes, worn or not worn. #moty - he loves shoes! And my Iphone. I figure if it can't really hurt him, then why say no? Also, I tried to get him to pick up his toys as a game - he thinks it's more fun to dump them all out once I've put them in a bucket, container, etc. lol. #need@missgpsu'saunttocomeover
I sing current radio station songs to my kid - he doesn't know any better, and honestly, I kind of hate nursery rhymes.
I should say something, really I should. But it always shocks me so badly that I can't come up with anything. I try and just avoid her but her room is three doors down this week and I can't.
Here's my go to: "well, the jerk store called...they are running out of you".
But seriously, karma is a bitch and it's coming to her!

i can promise you i was not one of those bumpies
another fffc: i am proud that my life hasn't really changed since having a kid. i mean sure i am not at the bar for hours at a time with DH anymore. but we managed to party it up in the Dominican Republic, we still go out, we still do what we want, just a little less lingering around with a baby. maybe some think that makes me selfish, i think it makes for a happy family.
Ditto. Mine is pretty much the same too. DH and I go out once a week with our friends individually and have plenty of dates, sometimes with DS and sometimes we get a sitter. We went on a vacation which included tons of parties and beach days with no problems and we made great memories as a family. I wish I remembered who it was so I can be all
when we had one baby, life did not change for us. we brought her everywhere, stayed out late..she was a good sleeper, and slept on the floor at friends houses while we played board games, etc. going out was easy with one...with two..we avoid going out like the plague. esp because this one doesn't sleep.

Totally. I haven't done that song yet, but I deft sing about him to songs on the radio if I don't know the words. Poor child won't know baby songs when he has a baby either - my mom totes did this to me!
LOL, to the tune of "Yellow Submarine": "on the day that you were born, your momma was so happy. And she named you Nolan Glenn after your grandpappy! You were born on a Tuesday afternoon, Tuesday afternoon, Tuesday afternoon!"

Our life changed like Whoa. High needs, preemie baby with health concerns who doesn't sleep, was colicky and MSPI.... but I vicariously live through you ladies
My friend suggested that I purchase a Diono convertible car seat. They are PRICEY... I know this is irrational, but more $$ = safer in her opinion. Now I feel like if I don't buy the Diono she will think that I have me kid in an unsafe seat.

Even after the bumpie said they accidentally used the night time bath stuff as a body wash for their baby for a week and then felt dumb.. Well I was and am still using it as a body wash. It's been almost 9 months.
Last week I called animal control on our neighbors a couple door down for their barking dogs. I just asked them to go by and talk to the people about the barking. They have two large dogs, one is a doberman and the other looks like alarge lab mix. They are outside like 80% of the time and lose their shit anytime anyone walks/rides/drives by the yard. They live on the corner so their yard is up against the main road and about 15 of the townhouses have their mailbox right up against their fence. Anytime you check your mail the dogs run over and bark and jump up on the fence right in your face.
I have heard them bark like twice in the last week. It is amazing. I should have done it a long time ago.
It's people like this that make others hate dogs and dog owners. Not sorry.
@aragostavisine in her coffee...Google it. Causes horrible diarrhea and vomiting, but no permanent damage.
On a more serious note...is there an HR department? I would make a formal complaint. What an insensitive bitch.
Please don't. There is nothing HR can do here - we can't fix stupid, insensitive people. We will, however, side eye her strongly with you. Unfortunately, unless it's illegal or harassment, there isn't much to do other than sit both of you down and have a conversation - which will require you to speak up, and it may be uncomfortable.
That being said, if you do feel like it's harassment, then by all means, full steam ahead!
ETA: bolded - was in Wedding Crashers! love that movie.
