DS reaches for the toys on his play gym at 5 weeks old and suddenly loves it on there. He fell asleep there tonight and I laugh every time he startles in his sleep and the rattles chime
@Taymiller Love it! I found my dogs walk better with the strike than on their own. They pull less. Not that they don't pull at all... Just less. And they love getting out for long walks with me and the baby.

My pup pulls no matter what, it is the sled dog in her but she wasn't as bad with the stroller. Getting out for a walk totally made me feel better. I just wish it wasn't so hot so I could do it everyday.
@ricecakes1216 My power cord died after 2 weeks with my medela. I used a friend's cord to check. They sent me a new one! Amazing customer service. They overnighted the package. Could that possibly be what's wrong with yours? Have you tried a different power cord?
Funny you should post this. H decided to play around with the Medela when he got home. It was the power cord! I feel like an idiot! Thank goodness that was it!
LO Slept through the night! Second time this week (he's 4 wks). Both times I woke him up at the 7 to 8 hour mark. I wonder how long he would have lasted if I hadn't. I guess he is making up for the fact he cluster feeds all day and does not nap for more than 20 min!
@ricecakes1216 I also recommend calling Medela. The battery pack for my PISA was put together wrong and I called about it and they sent me a new one in 2 days and all I had to do was print out a shipping label they sent me and send the old part back (because it was a warranty claim). Maybe see if yours is covered under warranty? They were really nice and helpful too.
DS just fell asleep to me singing Jake Owen's "Beaching" song to him. Maybe he wants a cold can in his hand too? I don't remember lullabies, so CMT music will have to do.
A local baby boutique was holding a fundraiser for a local nonprofit and had general discounts set based on the amount you spent. Hubs had been looking at the Tripp Trapp highchair for months. He actually found it online, I had never heard of it until he added it to our Amazon registry. Well, this store has one you can see and custom orders them for you. These things are never on sale, but last night, it was eligible for the discounts. So Hubs ordered it!
My best friend from college just found out that they are moving to Denver! She is pregnant and due in November so I am super excited to have babies the same age. Also I haven't seen her since my weeding 4 years ago! So f-ing excited!!
I got myself up, ready, and out of the house by 8:00 today to go to a meeting at work. This is a major success... almost like a dress rehearsal for the real thing.
Also, I bid on - and got - a new teaching gig! I've been wanting to move to elementary for years now and finally got up the guts to take the plunge. I'll be teaching 4th grade in the fall! I'm so excited... and a little scared!
My baby will not sleep on a chest. This is so weird since dd1 loved to sleep this way. LO likes to sleep while being carried sideways, on her tummy in the crib (nap) or on her back in the crib (night). Kind of missing the chest cuddles
@Savvy122 good for you. There are some different openings in my building, I'm thinking about taking one.
My randomness: someone spoke about the Sleep Sheep, I bought one...whoever mentioned it, I love you.
Thanks! I'm pretty terrified - I hate change! But I'm burning out pretty quickly, it was time to take the leap.
I just had sex. First time in many moons. We both came. Not half as bad as I thought it would be. I am going to be woefully sore tomorrow though, worth it. So, so worth it.

I should hopefully find out this week if I am getting a different position. I am definitely burned out and need a change, especially now that I have a LO

Why is it that DD always waits until I have just changed her diaper to poop? Clean diaper on.... Poo sounds start.
