This is so sad. I don't understand this line of thinking. This is your child. You grew him/her inside of you for 10 months. You gave birth to them. There should never be anything less than unconditional love for your child and being upset about what sex they are is so beyond shallow and scummy.

@carriet2018 I kind of hope it's a boy so son #3 isn't even further outcast. At least #3 and #4 would have each other.

I use it to read, comment, and lovetit. But cannot post photos. I also was able to start threads and yesterdays poll from the app, it keeps me logged in and I never be the Pac of code. But again no photos, I have to get on browser for that.

I think Washington needs a good 12-16 hours of heavy rain.

We've had what 2 weeks of 80+ temps and a few thunderstorms and western/southern wa cant handle it. The wildfires are getting incredibly dangerous.

Are any of the people you know who are baby crazy for a specific gender trying the Shettles method, changing their diet, etc.?

When I was pregnant, I met two people in different social circles who had both had at least one boy first and then went on the diet and had/were having a girl.

A forest/wild fire popped up on WA- 2 yesterday... If its not under control/out and people arnt allowed back in my vacay is off. Which sounds selfish, but I just want the area to be ok, its a lot of people and a high traffic area this time of year. Between the fire, and parts of 90 being closed there is a huge chunk out there that they cant get to.

Plus my poor chunk is runs hot normally, shes been living in a onesie most days.

I really dislike arrogant people. If you have the talent or whatever to back it up, I will suck it up and tolerate it. But in most cases you need a reality check that your shit stinks.

That is crazy! I can see both sides (after reading more about what the photos actually were of). But I agree it's scary to think photos of a child could be used against a parent like that.

I dont post naked pics of my kid but its a personal choice. Im not comfortable with who-knows-who being able to see them. Ive told my mil as well, if shes not covered like she would be in a swimsuit, it doesnt get shared.

There has to be more to it if they fought for their kids and lost. Havent read the story yet though.

I took a couple pics of him and my FI was like, "Careful with that on your phone - it could be mistaken for child pornography." Disheartening, really.

Along the same lines, I can't stand the media and how much it makes me fear everyday life. I shouldn't have to worry about going to jail or being separated from my child for complete folly such as having innocent naked pictures of my babe, letting my child play at the park alone (pending circumstances) or even if my kid decides to skip school one day and now I "neglected" him (happened recently). How does this help anyone? There is a point where being cautious turns into a negative thing. It certainly won't help build trust between the justice system/law enforcement and citizens.

I have one. Some will agree. Some won't. But here it goes.

Marriage is forever in my book. There are really only a few reasons I find divorce acceptable. If you are unhappy in your marriage, you should do everything possible to get happy. I think it's selfish to seek divorce simply for unhappiness when vows were exchanged and such a decision generally affects many people.

Where this stems from? I'm pissed at my dad. My parents have been married for nearly 36 years. My dad has recently decided he wants a divorce. Says he's unhappy and has been for a while. I think it's crap and is absolutely not a reason for divorce.

He has left my mom utterly devastated. My sister won't even talk to him. I have not spoken to him in 2 weeks. He is having an emotional affair with a coworker. So now we are on our first full family vacation without him. It's weird. I'm mad. I feel betrayed.

I agree with you @kimbo1216. I think people take marriage way too lightly these days. Not happy? Ok, let's get divorced, instead of trying our best to figure out exactly why we are unhappy and trying everything in our power to fix it. I also agree there are certain circumstances where divorce is warranted, ie: being abused, no one deserves to be that situation. But giving an answer of "I'm not happy" just doesn't cut it with me either. My brother & sister-in-law are going through the same exact thing right now so I know what you're feeling, but I imagine it cuts deeper being your parents. I'm sorry this is happening and I will pray for all of you!

T's & P's for you & your family @kimbo1216‌. Divorce is tough for all involved no matter what your feelings are on it.
In general, I agree that many/most people give up too easily. One or both are either unwilling or emotionally unable to put in the work. Marriage takes teamwork and communication and too many people act like it doesn't. There are cases in which one or both may be better off, but it is usually because at least one or the other isn't/hasn't held up their side of the vows.
