Bumper pads

So I bought a pretty sweet secondhand nursery set on Craigslist. It's adorable! But it came with bumper pads... I know that nowadays these are considered a no-no. Just curious if anyone has found other decorative uses for them? Or maybe just a safer way to use them? NBD if they just end up sitting in a closet or something, but I know there are ladies here more creative than myself so I wouldn't mind some tips or tricks, if you got 'em. Thanks!

I have seen some tutorials on how to turn bumpers into teething guards for along the top of the crib.

I've heard of people putting them around the legs of the crib for when baby starts crawling.

A friend of mine used the decorative fabric to sew pillows for her DD to use on her bed when they converted it to a toddler bed. I don't remember what they did with the pillows in the meantime (but of course they weren't in the crib!).

So cute!!! I did the same as @persephonerose for my neice. We saved the bumpers and I made them into a teething guard!
