@stargazer763 - LO is doing the same thing with food. He used to try anything and everything, but he's gotten really picky lately. It's weird, and I don't like it!
Hi guys! I was randomly posting but thought I would pop in with an official hi since I've been MIA for awhile. So, first, happy birthday @wasnotwas, and congrats @mcbush and anyone else expecting! How exciting! @subliminalrabbit I've missed all your updates about moving but caught a little on here and I'm so excited for your move to Denver!!! I miss it and kind of wish we would move there too! Maybe we can visit some time! I have friends out there I am overdue on visiting anyway. @cl8badb your post abt j talking to himself and laughing was sooo funny to me because k does the same thing! Lol I miss hearing about all your babies and lives and seeing pics.
So as for me and k, we are doing well. She is still in PT and doing well with that too. She started walking all over on her own a few weeks ago so we will probably end PT soon, which would be about a month or so before the initial plan was. The initial plan was for her to walk 5 steps alone and be comfortable with transitions by September. She's far exceeded that. She practically runs and is all over the house. It makes me very happy to see her free to move however she wants. She has 6 teeth now- all came in within the past month and a half. We are still nursing 3-5x a day... Or so... Depends on the day. I'm still a SAHM but I really need to get a part time job. I'm struggling to keep my sanity. And I need to shop! I miss shopping. My husband is trying to get a sales job with a big company which would mean a 10-15k increase in his annual salary... Which would be nice. So I really hope he gets in. I don't really know what else to say. Oh! I watched all 3 seasons of Scandal (inspired by you guys and your spoiler threads) and O. M. G.... I cannot wait for season 4 this fall!! I got nothing else. My life is boring. Teehee! Hi.
I had chicken pox as an infant. I never truly understood why my mom acted like it was a big deal but now I get it - I'd be so upset if N had chicken pox.
Last weekend I had an awesome girls weekend. This happened:
And this:
Note the first picture - the best.cocktails.ever exist at this place. If you are ever in Chi go to The Aviary for a drink (or drinks). And then post a pic! Their drinks are so inventive and literally masterpieces.
Also, I stayed up til 2 every night and slept til 10. It was like I was 8 yrs younger!
Does anybody ever look at milk and wonder who the first person to look at a cow and go "hmmm I'm going to yank on those pink things hanging down and whatever comes out I'm putting in my mouth" was? Only me??
I feel like I'm taking this way too literally but my guess would be that someone was unable to breastfeed their kid, saw a calf nursing from it's mom and they were like.. "huh, wonder if my kid could eat that since the calf does" and figured they'd give it a try first.

quoting myself to add that I totally feel that way about eggs though. Animals lactate, however eating something that came out of an animals other parts is a whole different story. ::shiver::
You know you were up too much in the motn when you open the bump in the morning and have literally read all the words in the first page of threads. Bring on the coffee!
Re; shingles, my brother had it as a college student in Spain and the pain/headache was so bad he was dehydrated and hospitalized. I asked someone I worked with to translate the doctor's email because we didn't know what was wrong. In front of my team she said, it says here that your brother has....herpes? Oh, ok. (He hates this story).
So, I'm bummed this morning. Someone tell me that it's just the stress of life and anxiety getting to me. The teaching job that I was interviewed for a few weeks ago is no longer posted on the website. I have emailed the principal and called him with no response back. I honestly think that I didn't get the job and they just don't want to tell me. It makes me really sad and doubt myself a lot. I've been doing a lot of doubting in mommyhood lately, but thought I might have this teaching thing down. I really want to be a teacher and think I would make an excellent teacher. I just feel like I won't ever get the chance now.
Today's my 3 year anniversary! I don't think we are doing anything special, but oh well. Life has been so busy lately, an evening at home sounds good to me!

Ours too!! We're visiting my IL so they're keeping P so we can go to dinner. :-)
Anybody else having weird issues with posting? My little reply box doesn't have any of the normal options for inserting images/links etc. It's also eating all my paragraphs, so things come out as one big text block.
Maybe html is necessary?
I'm using Chrome on a laptop, for what that's worth.
It looks like the html codes for text breaks at least broke up my wall of text ... but laaaaaame.

I think this is a Bump-wide problem right now, I saw posts on other boards about it too
Grayson has been such a trooper. He did awesome on the 3.5 hour drive yesterday. And he made it until 3:30 at my sisters orientation thing before I finally packed him up and left. We're going to meet back up with her on campus at 6 to have dinner with her. I don't know if we'll go to the stuff tomorrow but he's happy now that he can play and run around in the hotel room. I am exhausted.
Made it home safe and sound today! Florida was great while it lasted but I'm so excited to sleep in my own bed tonight. My sister is here with us now until Sunday. Next time we see each other we will both have our new LOs!
This past month of traveling/vacationing has helped keep my mind off of the upcoming deployment. Hoping to enjoy these last couple of weeks with my hubby before sending him away for 6 months again. Thankfully I'll have you ladies to keep me same when I have 3 kids all by myself with 2 of them under 2.
There are too many dishes to do, too much laundry to fold, and generally too much other work I should be doing. Instead I'm sitting outside in the unseasonably cool and not humid outside watching the fireflies. The chores will have magically done themselves by the time I go in, right?

Chicken pot pie is disgusting
Happy bday Was!
I had a horrible case of chicken pic when I was 6 and have them to my 2 year old sister.
I also think crab is way better than lobster.
Also driving for hours on end with a one year old, eight year old, an 18w pregnant lady and a 19w pregnant lady might make me the craziest lady evar!
I'm so ready to be home to my hubby tom afternoon.

Oh and @CL8badB join the book club!
I've slacked on the next book poll but I'll be doing that soon!
