Swaddle fighting

My LO falls asleep beautifully in her swaddle (Velcro kind) but wakes up and fights it all night. She doesn't cry, her eyes are closed but she's wrestling, grunting and completely working herself up. She gets too hot in the process as well. We have tried multiple different types of swaddles but had no luck. We also tried not swaddling or swaddling her arms up but she won't fall asleep. The only peaceful sleep she gets is skin to skin on me.

Anyone else having issues? Any ideas? I hate to hear her stressing.

J hates Swaddlemes but will sleep for hours in a miracle blanket.

Does anyone know of a way to Swaddle so that LO can still suck hands but arms are secure? My son's arms are flying around everywhere if I leave them out, but I want him to self soothe.

MJ must have her arms free so we abandoned all of the swaddle mes we bought before birth and just do blanket swaddles

I'm banned from buying more swaddles. Haha. Just bought the other one from the company that does the 50/50 - didn't work for her. I keep telling DH that sleep is priceless and we should keep trying things til they work.

Regarding gas, I don't think so - it continues forever until either the fuss is about to turn to crying or I can't take hearing her stress anymore.

Have u tried the swaddle pod? No Velcro just 1 zipper looks like potatoes sac! Works great!
